Chamira Milinda is the owner of Chocolate de Champ, a small homemade chocolate business he runs out of his home in L’Anse au Loup, a community on Labrador’s southern coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since moving to Labrador from his home in Sri Lanka in 2012, Milinda has been working full time in a bakery. He dedicates his time outside of work to crafting his unique and handmade chocolate designs and fulfilling his online orders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And yes \u2014 the movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,<\/em> did play a role in his sweet treat dreams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is in the early days of his business, with his first pop-up sale recently in Corner Brook. But Milinda has big plans for the future and hopes this will be the start of getting the name Chocolate de Champ around the province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBC\u00a0Newfoundland Morning<\/em>\u00a0reporter Amy Feehan spoke with Milinda as part of the show’s focus on\u00a0Canadian entrepreneurs.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
