X – Twitter<\/strong>-; 20 million fake Twitter accounts. With a reported 500 million registered users, that comes out to roughly 4% of all Twitter accounts being fake (bots).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facebook<\/strong> <\/strong>was mentioned the most as a Google Search suggestion for the topic of fake profiles; Tinder was the second most mentioned platform. Comparing only dating platforms, Tinder had the highest number of mentions\u201412\u2014while Badoo came in second place with just 4 mentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YouGov <\/strong>has revealed that around 78% of female users on such platforms encounter fake profiles.5 Sept 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Ashely Madison<\/strong> was hacked, a few reporters had the data analyzed, it was about 96% fake, and you can assume Tinder isn\u2019t too far off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
