Next year, we could aim for 5 percent.&#8221; He called on the administration to stabilize the rupee and deliver promised relief to the people, adding that failing to address salary hikes undermines trust placed by government employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wickremesinghe further criticized the lack of experienced leadership within parliament, stressing that &#8220;compass&#8221; candidates lack familiarity with local issues and governance structures.
