\u201dWhen a doctrine teaches sons to forsake their fathers, and subjects to bow before foreign relics instead of their sovereign, the soul of a nation<\/a> begins to unravel\u201d. \u2013 Han Yu, the Tang dynasty Confucian scholar, condemned Buddhism<\/a> not only as a spiritual threat<\/a> but as a force that weakened filial piety, drained civic duty<\/a>, and fostered poverty through monastic withdrawal. He saw it as a foreign ideology that encouraged people to abandon their families, reject ancestral rites, and divert wealth toward rituals that fed neither body<\/a> nor nation. In just 14 years, 30 million died alone\u2014disconnected from kinship, purpose<\/a>, and tradition<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Sinhala Buddhist<\/a> civilization faces a different but equally insidious threat. Foreign academic agents and imported communist<\/a> ideologies\u2014cloaked in intellectual discourse\u2014have begun to infiltrate Sri Lanka\u2019s cultural landscape. Through lectures, publications, and policy<\/a> influence, these frameworks subtly reframe our heritage as oppressive, our spirituality<\/a> as outdated, and our nationalism<\/a> as dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neo-Marxist interpretations cast Sinhala Buddhist identity<\/a> as a tool of exclusion, rather than a source of resilience<\/a> and unity. These ideological incursions, often backed by external interests, pose a severe challenge to our cultural continuity.Yet true Buddhists need not respond with violation or vengeance. Justice<\/a> and strength lie<\/a> not in retaliation, but in the luminous clarity<\/a> of reasoned law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sri Lanka<\/a> is blessed with the 9th Article of the Buddha<\/a> Sasana law\u2014a radiant safeguard against spiritual and cultural erosion. It protects the dignity, continuity, and sacred heritage of Sinhala Buddhists through wisdom, not wrath. In the face of ideological subversion, this law stands as a beacon of lawful resistance\u2014empowering Buddhists to defend their civilization with compassion<\/a>, clarity, and unwavering resolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us<\/a> not be swayed by imported narratives that seek to fracture our foundations. Let us instead honor the legacy<\/a> of our ancestors, uphold the principles of justice, and protect the soul of our nation through the enduring light<\/a> of the Buddha Sasana<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
