Your Excellency,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We convey our deepest sadness at our failure to have mustered enough votes to retain you as the President of Sri Lanka for another fruitful period of development.\u00a0 We miss you very much Your Excellency, we know that today we\u00a0 breath as a free people without fear or constrain because of the \u00a0determination you had to eliminate terrorism despite\u00a0 great risk to yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0We are\u00a0 therefore ever grateful to you for having unified Sri Lanka, part of which had been given to be kept under terrorist control under a CFA signed with the terrorists\u00a0 by a former Prime Minister\u00a0 Ranil Wickramasinghe, and for providing security with the a heroic\u00a0 Armed Forces\u00a0 strategically stationed from North to South and East to West of\u00a0 Sri Lanka for us\u00a0 to live without fear of another \u00a0resurgence of terrorism.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your unexpected \u00a0defeat at the Presidential election, Your Excellency, \u00a0is a great loss to Mother Lanka which was making remarkable progress in development, and\u00a0 stabilising the place it had carved under your leadership with the developing Nations of Asia, Africa, Latin America and Middle East and close friendship it had built with China, Russia, Iran,\u00a0 Vietnam.\u00a0 But now we begin to doubt the\u00a0 sincerity of the relation India had with Sri Lanka under your leadership.\u00a0 India perhaps on the advice of USA\u00a0 wants to distance from us due to our very close friendship with China.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Excellency now it is quite evident that there was an unseen hand behind\u00a0 the move to get the Tamils of the North, the Muslims of the East, and the Catholics to vote en mass to the common candidate of the opposition against you to assure your defeat at the election.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nevertheless, various reasons are being adduced \u00a0by your antagonists with a view to create displeasure amoung the people against you, thus assuring their victory at the General elections.\u00a0 They besides levelling accusations of corruption,\u00a0 put your defeat at the elections to your \u00a0failure to have paid more attention to bring down the cost of living and neglected the poor. Your Excellency, in Sri Lanka there had never been a death by starvation during the 30 years of terrorism or ten years after that.<\/span><\/p>\n

But this argument Your Excellency does not hold water, it is the result of an unintelligent perception of the situation.\u00a0 Sri Lanka under your leadership was a fast developing country.\u00a0 The standard of living\u00a0 of the people was\u00a0 improving. The poor were able to have electricity, pipe water, education facilities to their children.\u00a0 They could improve their houses\u00a0 cementing the floors\u00a0 instead of\u00a0 applying\u00a0 mud and cow dung.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Development always brings with it financial constraints as some facilities have to be sacrificed\u00a0 to enjoy others. Water, electricity, transport etc. have to be paid for \u00a0which reduce the monthly family budget, forcing \u00a0reduction in food bills, and other every day needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course the critics \u00a0refuse to understand that Sri Lanka was a poor country suffering under 30 years of terrorism, but being taken fast forward by a visionary leader ambitious to take Sri Lanka \u00a0further on the path of\u00a0 development.\u00a0 Given one more term Your Excellency, we are sure\u00a0 you would have been able to\u00a0 considerably reduce poverty and given the people more facilities to\u00a0 improve further their standard of living, while reduing the cost of living.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alas that was not to be, today the people of Sri Lanka are orphaned, except of course the Tamil people of the North.\u00a0 Sampanthan, Sumanthiran, the TamilNadu and the Tamil Diaspora are gleeful.\u00a0 They are getting everything they want beginning\u00a0 with\u00a0 the full \u00a0implementation of the 13th<\/sup> Amendment \u00a0as announced by the 100 day Prime Minister\u00a0 Ranil Wickramasinghe, \u00a0while in the south there is still no Yahapalanay\u00a0 but a \u00a0Vibhishanaya.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you were there Your Excellency, every day we, the people get up to hear good news of\u00a0 a new building or a School being opened , \u00a0beginning the construction of high ways, opening a bridge \u00a0or a Mahindodaya building, or some such news of embellishment of Mother Lanka taking\u00a0 her gradually to a future of hope and prosperity.<\/span><\/p>\n

But today with the new Maitri Palanaya we open the news paper to see\u00a0 some one of the previous government-that is your Government Your Excellency, \u00a0accused for some thing or another and\u00a0 JVP marching up to the Bribery Commission \u00a0making allegations against\u00a0 you Your Excellency, your children and now even\u00a0 Ms. Rajapakse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake , with a questionable back ground summoned to attend Courts for an alleged money laundering just on the day he is to present a Mini-budget to the Parliament, and\u00a0 other questionable financial transactions, accused Gotabhaya Rajapakse for having kept\u00a0 8 billion Rupee account in the BOC.\u00a0 It was immediately proved wrong. But nevertheless he accuses him of irregularities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then there was another\u00a0 accusation\u00a0 against him for\u00a0 running a floating armoury.\u00a0 Then they raided Rakna Lanka Armoury at BMICH to pin it as well on your brother Gotabhaya Rajapakse .\u00a0 The Maitri Palanaya is making \u00a0desperate attempts to find some fraud or criminal activity to \u00a0accuse Gotabhaya Rajapakse.\u00a0 But to their chagrin they have found none.\u00a0 Gotabhay Rajapakse Your Excellency is an excellent military officer, a man who selected Sarath Fonceka as the Army Commander when he organised the Armed Forces to begin their war against terrorism.\u00a0 He would not have stooped to theft and misappropriation or engage in any activity that would \u00a0bring disrepute to himself and the Armed Forces. This some of these persons with tainted \u00a0hands would not understand.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Maitri Palanaya has not given up, they \u00a0are still going on with an imagined \u00a0allegation that you were planning a military take over\u00a0 of the government\u00a0 to deny Maitripala Sirisena his presidency in a plan for you to stay in power.\u00a0\u00a0 They are involving every one including the Chief Justice, and G.L.Peiris as plotters of a military coup.\u00a0\u00a0 Unfortunately they have no proof, but that does not deter them.\u00a0\u00a0 All they want is News paper headlines and a media circus to bring disrepute to you, without allowing \u00a0you\u00a0 media time to defend yourself or others around you.\u00a0 Where is democracy ? Where is Yahapalanaya ?<\/span><\/p>\n

They are doing that as it is the only way they can think of to make you unpopular amoung the people\u00a0 and get them to vote against you, \u00a0and for\u00a0 Ranil Wickramasinghe and the crowd at the coming general election.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But none of these allegations have been proved, the UNP is only capable of this type of\u00a0 mudslinging and character assassination.\u00a0 In a resent interview the Sunday Leader (27.1.2015) had with M. Ganesh R.Dharmawardhane,\u00a0 the Director General of the\u00a0 Commission to Investigate\u00a0 Bribery or Corruption, he was asked Why our country witness so much of corruption and bribery ? Mr. Dharmawardhane\u00a0 had said ” I cannot provide an answer to that issue. According to international reports\u00a0 in this field\u00a0 Sri Lanka is better than others”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In reality this temporary government of 100 day Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe has done nothing for the benefit of the people and the country since its inception\u00a0 on the 9th<\/sup> January, other than raking garbage in search of material to accuse some one or other of the previous government.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Excellency, we have nothing against the President Maitripala Sirisena, even though we do not appreciate how he worked his way to become the President of Sri Lanka.\u00a0 Nevertheless, he was elected by a majority of the people and we salute that decision.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However , \u00a0the people of Sri Lanka the patriots\u00a0 who sacrificed their children to save the country from being mutilated by a ruthless group of Tamil terrorists, are saddened that it was the vote of the Tamils\u00a0 that tipped the scale in favour of\u00a0 \u00a0the President Maitripala Sirisena. It was the pre-arranged contribution of the Tamil National Alliance\u00a0 for\u00a0 the victory of the common candidate of the opposition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0 anti Rajapakse\u00a0 Western hand that had been at work\u00a0 is clearly seen now that a “regime\u00a0 change” has taken place.\u00a0 UE that imposed sanctions on grant of quotas for the apparel industry\u00a0 is\u00a0 now removing those\u00a0 sanctions in favour of the changed pro western regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

To-day the Tamil National Alliance which is the off shoot of Prabhakaran’s\u00a0 terrorism\u00a0 plays the tune\u00a0 to which the temporary\u00a0 Government of 100 day Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe has begun to dance.\u00a0 Though the President Maitripala Sirisena was sworn as the President\u00a0 his voice has been muted by his Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe and his Cabinet of Ministers-Mangala Samaraweera, Rajitha Senaratne.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though much publicity is being given to Yahapalanaya and Maitri Palanaya, this\u00a0 temporary100 day government has a super government\u00a0 a Politburo called the NEC above it with a\u00a0 “Gestapo” style investigating branch led by Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the JVP.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Gestapo of Hitler’s Germany most often acted on information from “denouncers” to round up Jews and investigate their activities. Once the Gestapos get you they will go all out to condemn\u00a0 you to Concentration camps , no amount of\u00a0 evidence in your favour will be taken into consideration.\u00a0 Anural Kumara Dissanayake’s JVP is not different-but he is a Gestapo who\u00a0 alsoacts\u00a0\u00a0 like a bull in a China Shop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No wonder Anura Kumara Dissanayake of JVP is like that because cruelty is in his blood since\u00a0 his JVP beginning they killed people in cold blood. They cut off heads \u00a0of\u00a0 innocent people and stuck them on poles and planted them in front of the homes of the victims.\u00a0 They\u00a0 killed\u00a0 any one without questioning .\u00a0 Only crime \u00a0their victims had\u00a0 committed more often was to have belonged either to the UNP or the SLFP.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can we now expect any thing better from this uncouth individuals. JVP is now\u00a0 going after the family members of the President\u00a0 Mahinda Rajapakse.\u00a0 Has JVP under the cover of Yahapalanaya\u00a0 started their bloody revolution ?\u00a0\u00a0 It is strange that it is people with an unclean past that seek to accuse others<\/span><\/p>\n

Some thought better of Champika Ranawaka but he\u00a0 seems to be of the same mould as JVP Gestapo. Atureliye Ratana has gone a step forward.\u00a0 He now says Your Excellency, that the credit for the elimination of terrorism does\u00a0 not go to you alone , but to him as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Excellency\u00a0 we will always remember you as \u00a0a dedicated patriot strong and determined not only to fearlessly hold yourself \u00a0against\u00a0 your\u00a0 local opponents,\u00a0 but also against the\u00a0 powerful Foreign forces\u00a0 to protect your \u00a0country and your people.<\/span><\/p>\n

But to-day\u00a0 every thing you did to Mother Lanka to save her from the terrorists and lift her onto a higher pedestal of respect and global importance, with a strong armed force, to protect the country is being reversed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The UNP Ministers of the 100 day Government\u00a0 even take credit \u00a0\u00a0to vast development that has taken place in Sri Lanka.\u00a0 Harsha de Sila a Deputy Minister says that the infrastructure projects were identified for implementation by Ranil Wickramasinghe.\u00a0 But identifying\u00a0 and taking the bold step to construct are two different\u00a0\u00a0 things.\u00a0 Therefore the credit goes to the one who takes the bold step to construct and not to the one who identifies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Excellency, your brother Gotabhaya Rajapakse\u00a0 will be remembered for generations to come, for after the\u00a0 heroic defeat of the terrorists freeing the country\u00a0 and its people, he\u00a0 used the heroic\u00a0 soldiers of\u00a0 our Armed Forces to make of them\u00a0 the builders of the Nation. They were in the process of\u00a0 changing the \u00a0landscape of Sri Lanka completely different from what it had been \u00a0before, to give it a scenic beauty in the midst of\u00a0 economically prosperous cities in which the people are\u00a0 united as a Nation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To make safe the country for generations to come even the young generation was in the process of being \u00a0trained in leadership \u00a0providing them with the ability to take up the role of protectors of the country in case of\u00a0 dangers that would come to her from within and outside. In the process professions that were considered low were\u00a0 re- evaluated and Armed Forces\u00a0 were trained to take up the profession of builders and cleaners giving labour a respect hitherto unfound.\u00a0 .<\/span><\/p>\n

Even this great concepts are now in the process of change under Maitri Palanaya.\u00a0 There is still a fundamental question which has not been broached in the calamitous situation we are faced with today.\u00a0 The question is whether the Government which has been set up temporarily to fill the gap between the election of a new President\u00a0 and the Parliamentary elections has the legal authority to make dramatic changes in\u00a0 the administration of the country ?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For instance Ranil\u00a0 Wickramasinghe who has been named the Prime Minister by the President is not a Prime Minister of the people. Therefore he has no authority to announce that all parties have agreed to implement the 13th<\/sup> Amendement.\u00a0 It is a very controversial issue and therefore the people have to be consulted\u00a0 to have their consent.\u00a0 It is true that you\u00a0 Your Excellency had\u00a0 announced once that you will implement\u00a0 the 13th<\/sup> Amendment plus.\u00a0\u00a0 But you had left it at that without taking a decision surely as it\u00a0 needs reflection, as it is not an Amendment prepared by Sri Lankans, but one written and presented by India to be introduced into our Constitution\u00a0 in exchange for disarming the terrorists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hence it is not some thing that should be implemented in a hurry by a temporary government set up in exigence. This government also proposes to reduce its economic relations with China.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Maithri Planaya or Yahapalanaya which is highly publicised is a\u00a0 Dictatorsip, where they accuse persons without allowing them to defend themselves.\u00a0 This Maitri Palanaya Government controls the media and no body is able to make any view contrary to that of the Government.\u00a0 They take every possible occasion to accuse and ridicule every one connected with the Previous government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They accuse Gotabhaya Rajapakse for various\u00a0 imagined activities. They want \u00a0the Chief Justice to step down.\u00a0 They demand\u00a0 the resignation of\u00a0 the Chairperson of the UGC Kshanika Hirimburegama.\u00a0 They complain against the Top Management of Titro Gaz . They have complained\u00a0 against Wimal Weerawansa and Mrs.Weerawansa.\u00a0 They have even raided the house of\u00a0 Jackson Anthony as they say that he was connected to RajapakseThey have complaints against Yourself Your Excellency and your children.\u00a0 Where is this going to end ? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The people are given only the Maithjri Palanaya \u00a0version of news and there is absolutely no way of hearing the other side .\u00a0 Their \u00a0news are mostly based on \u00a0vendetta,\u00a0 on jealousy, hatred , anger and revenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

The policy of this 100 day Yahapalanaya is to stop\u00a0 all media access to the former President , his family and any one connected to them.\u00a0 They should not be seen in the television, not heard in the radio, or should not be allowed to be read in the press.\u00a0 If this is not a Dictatorship what is ?<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Excellency people have enough of the Maitri Palanaya, please come back Mother Lanka needs you.<\/span><\/p>\n
