YES OR NO<\/span><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Hon Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe is planning to have an all party Unity Government after the General Election, converting the entire Parliament into a government.\u00a0 In essence, his concept is to eliminate the opposition to the government in the Parliament, thus nullyfying the one of the basic ingredients of democracy.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, the newly appointed National Organiser of the SLFP Mr Susil Premajayantha\u00a0 has said the SLFP is against a Unity Government, instead will forge ahead with its plans to form a SLFP led UPFA government after the next general election.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">PRIME MINISTER Vs JUDICIARY:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The entire opposition agrees that the appointment of Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe as the Prime Minister was inconsistent with the Constitution.\u00a0 Yet, no one has so far petitioned for a Court determination on the issue.\u00a0\u00a0 This is a clear indication that the opposition has no confidence in the current Judiciary as the appointment of the current Chief Justice is also under a cloud of disputes resulting from chain of three events.\u00a0 Under such\u00a0 circumstances,\u00a0 it is hard to visualise\u00a0 that a fair and reasonable remedy will be opened through the channels of\u00a0 judiciary to redress the disputed appointments.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DANGERS OF GIVING EXECUTIVE POWERS TO RW AS PM BEFORE GENERAL ELECTION<\/span><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since assuming power through the back door of the Parliament, the Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe has embarked on a journey of looking after old buddies.\u00a0 He has so far appointed 3 Tamils for the key positions in government without any consultation.\u00a0 The appointment of new Chief Justice His Lordship Justice K Sripavan\u00a0 was the first salvo released, immediately followed by the appointment of another Tamil,\u00a0 Mr Arjuna Mahendran as the Head of Central Bank of Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n<p>His next deafening salvo was the release of\u00a0 another Tamil who was staying at the Hotel Galadari under the different name, until it became clearer that a person who has been in self-exile for obvious reasons, dubiously known as PASKA or Mr Paskaralingam&#8217;s sudden elevation to the role of Advisor to the Hon Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe.<\/p>\n<p>In Sri Lanka today, the administrative machinery of Justice, Finance and Key Advisory roles are all held by Tamils.\u00a0 The Hon Prime Minister could not unfortunately find any trustworthy Sinhalaese Legal Luminary, Finance Professional or A Grade Technocrat for these key roles.\u00a0\u00a0 If Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe is empowered with Executive Powers, the dangers to the nation cannot be under-estimated.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CONSOLATION PRIZE FOR PRESIDENT MAITHREEPALA SIRISENA<\/span><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the midst of all these musical chairs concert, the President made use of the opportunity to appoint his own brother Mr Kumarasinghe Sirisena as the Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom PLC.\u00a0 To substantiate this appointment, the entire Curriculum Vitae of Mr Sirisena was released to the public.\u00a0 The colourful list of qualifications are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional Qualifications :<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00bb Master of Business Administration Degree \u2013 2012-2013<br \/>\n\u00bb Master of Public Management Degree \u2013 2006\/2007<br \/>\n\u00bb Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy &amp;
