The “Bicycle Shed Syndrome” is when a multi-million dollar project comes to a halt, due to the fact than minions with bird brains begin to object to the minor details of setting-up the Bicycle Shed!<\/p>\n

Sri Lanka is at Cross Roads right now. The decade of re-construction by ex President Mahinda Rajapaksa is about to be flushed-down-the-loo by the current governing Trio – President Sirisena + Prime Minister Wickremesinghe + ex-President Kumaratunge. This is the Only Top Priority!<\/p>\n

Whilst some excellent presentations were contributed by HLD Mahindapala, Shenali Waduge, R. Chandrasoma, MDP Dissanayake, to name but a few, read and appreciated by an international readership, a few “bone-heads” spend wasteful print on minor errors.<\/p>\n

I thank nilwala (Says:\u00a0 March 7th, 2015 at 6:35 am) for correcting my mistake due to lack of facts, and confusing the name of Vivienne Gunawardane’s husband. A minor mistake between Les & Phil!<\/p>\n

When Prime Minister Modi introduced M R S Sirisena, several members of gallery commented on this simple mistake.<\/p>\n

Whilst considering the following points, which are valid, and of general interest and acceptable, within an Election Manifesto-; -THE BUDDHIST SANGA -ELIMINATION OF TAMIL AS AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE -DEPORTATION OF ILLEGAL INDIAN TAMILS IN SRI LANKA -REPATRIATION OF SINGHALESE TO THEIR HOMELAND IN THE NORTH AND EASTERN PROVINCES -DO AWAY WITH AMENDMENT 13 -MAKE KATCHACHEEVU ISLAND A SRI LANKAN NAVAL BASE \u2013 BRING BACK THE COLOMBO PORT PROJECT AND ALLOW CHINESE SHIPS TO DOCK IN SRI LANKA -ELEVATE BUDDHISM AS A STATE RELIGION.<\/p>\n

-MAKE IT A PUNISHABLE CRIME TO EXPRESS IN ANY WAY THE CONCEPT OF ELAM.<\/p>\n

\u2013 THE ENFORCEMENT OF BUDDHIST LAWS AGAINST PRACTICES SUCH AS ANIMAL SACRIFICES, \u2013 ADVANCE THE BUDDHIST DARHMA ACROSS THE LAND.<\/p>\n

……..with a 100% acceptance, my considered opinion on the….<\/p>\n

Support Mahinda Rajapakse ONLY IF HE SUPPORTS<\/p>\n

\u2013 THE ENFORCEMENT OF BUDDHIST LAWS AGAINST THE HINDU CASTE SYSTEM IN SRI LANKA \u2013 BAN CONVERSION BY HINDUS, MUSLIMS AND CHRISTIANS.<\/p>\n

………is a Total Off-Track of a Democratic State, going back to Stone Age. And Closer to principles of Adolf Hitler!<\/p>\n

Suggest Mr. Bernard Wijeyasingha reconsiders his own opinion, which he entitled to, on the above two final points!<\/p>\n

At this juncture, Patriotic Sri Lankans might give more consideration to maintain a balance between the various segments of Caste-Creed-SocioEconomic Demographics within the Sinhala community-at-large than to make it divisive.<\/p>\n

Hindus – Muslims – Christians are here-to-stay in Sri Lanka, whether you like it or not, unless you apply the Gas Chamber Final Solution, as done by Nazi Adolf Hitler!<\/p>\n

And as the only current potential Saviour, I doubt if Mahinda Rajapaksa, with his high principles of decency, would even spend one second considering such savage solutions as done by ISIS in the Islamic Middle East.<\/p>\n

The Billion Dollar concern is to Keep India-USA-EU out of interfering with the Billion Dollar construction started by Mahinda Rajapakse, without nit-picking on a Bicycle Shed Syndrome.<\/p>\n
