There are many astute observers within\u00a0 Sri Lanka today who have expressed their rather dismayed opinion ( veritably true if one looks at the core issues pointed out in many features and editorials \u00a0where the Sirisena \/Wickremasinghe\u00a0\u00a0alliance and their collective manoeuvring in what seems to be a desperate bid to stay in the good books of the people through bending to the\u00a0 wrong sources particularly the Tamil Tiger Supportive Diaspora and their political representation the TNA whose links to the West need no rocket science.<\/p>\n

It would surely be a travesty and a dangerous ploy considering the well being of Sri Lanka that could be jeopardized, something the Rajapaksa Administration took no chances whatsoever about and maintained a Nation,\u00a0free of the infiltrations and ambits of the secessionists as well as the lopsided critics and finger pointers of the disillusioned West.<\/p>\n

Interestingly enough a certain Mr Callum McRae who in all probabilities\u00a0deserves to be hung by his feet and horsewhipped for the criminal accusations he has done to discredit Sri Lanka in the past and continues to do so today has already started his cacophony towards this all over again during the Sirisena visit to the UK where all his previous efforts to discredit Sri Lanka failed miserably and\u00a0many are watching the Sirisena vulnerabilities towards renewed verbosities from Mc Rae who should be indicted for the lies and innuendo he continues to propagate and would be so lucky if he gets away lightly with his attempts to falsely discredit Sri Lanka! Point for the present Administration perhaps to ponder upon amongst other things.<\/p>\n

What is transpiring in Sri Lanka today could rightfully be termed post election\u00a0bungling despite the gung ho pledges and promises that neither of these two individuals (Sirisena and Wickremasinghe) nor their somewhat inept team (to put it mildly!) appear to be capable of\u00a0 implementing. But what could be expected of a group of power hungry lackey politicians who assumed power marginally and through means which were not properly investigated towards legitimacy albeit relinquished easily by the previous President in all dignity and profound humility despite all the fairy tales of an attempted coup!<\/p>\n

It may not be far wrong, all things considered to identify the present administration as consisting of many whose past track records were tainted or decrepit\u00a0 but are now trying to resuscitate all the devils put down by the previous regime! or so ir appears. Being ship jumpers from previous regimes, opportunistic fly by nights,\u00a0embezzlers of public funds and thugs some of them, subservient and pawns of the West and now to the great amazement of many,\u00a0new\u00a0\u00a0admirers of\u00a0India, something needing clarification as the empathy shown does not seem genuine remembering India’s\u00a0\u00a0(Tamil Nadus in particular) involvement and support\u00a0towards\u00a0\u00a0many of the Tamil Tiger related atrocities and all the current aggravations posted by Tamil\u00a0Nadu where India at times tries to sound blameless while turning a blind eye in pretence of goodwill towards Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

Given all the possibilities of trickery and double standards shown Sri Lanka also\u00a0 needs to be watchful of\u00a0 what tricks India may have up her sleeve relative to pussyfooting through Sri Lanka’s gullibilities towards distancing Sri Lanka from China where the candy being offered could easily be tainted. Indeed the new Administration might have a lot to answer to the Nation for if they compromise many of the hardcore issues set right by the previous regime at a heavy price where the price the present Administration may have to pay could be far heavier!!<\/p>\n

India despite all the smooth talking of the Modi bandwagon has revealed \u00a0as a primary objective what plainly points towards spooking the wheel of China in matters related to Sri Lanka and a friend an ally\u00a0\u00a0who has had a major hand in the tremendous development efforts extended during the Rajapaksa Presidency ( much to the chagrin of the unappreciative West also)\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0has always shown great empathy and consideration for Sri Lanka’s well being.<\/p>\n

Much of the recent actions of the Sirisena alliance also appear to be based on political revenge on the previous regime where in pursuit of revenge their priorities seem to have taken a right about turn and unsettled certain areas of progress that were headed in a very positive direction yet undermined by the Sirisena Administration, discontinued, usurped or done away with completely\u00a0\u00a0and a sure indication of their ineptitude to be true and benevolent legislators and developers of Sri Lanka where that right surely belongs to the previous Administration which it invariably squandered through huge mistakes that cannot be deemed irreparable today as the mistakes by some who administered the country in the past\u00a0comprised of far more grievous errors going back in time which almost compromised the Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity of the Nation and thankfully set right by the Rajapaksa Administration~ something etched in stone and must never be forgotten!<\/p>\n

And\u00a0like someone who has quite appropriately expressed the thought that saving his hide from the terrorists was far more important than the needs of his stomach and worshipped Mahinda Rajapaksa for it the related actions meriting acolades far beyond being any deserving of the present Administration who through their bungling could easily\u00a0\u00a0open new opportunities and avenues for a terrorist resurgence\u00a0(primarily by granting unnecessary leeway to the TNA and minorities with proven links to terror cells both within and without Sri Lanka)\u00a0\u00a0as well as dancing to the tunes of the NGO stooges of the West and the meddling attitude of India laced in false promises and big brotherly love in pretence!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
