Fraud, another word starting with the “F”, now plastered across the Internet by Triad of Sri Lanka, who is attempting to cover its own donkey-dung, and glorified confusion, by its rampage, destroying Sri Lanka in its wake.<\/p>\n

May I invite the opinions of the members who respond to contributors in a civilized, cultured manner, to enlighten the International (non-resident Sri Lankan) Readers of LankaWeb, on the following-;<\/p>\n

1: Alleged billions of US$ deposited in UAE Banks, Names of Account holders, Origin of the Funds, Reasons and other relevant information.<\/p>\n

2: Billions of US$ & Sri Lankan Airlines – “The only airline in the world, without ownership of a single aircraft” – as the claim published in Media.<\/p>\n

3: Governor of Central Bank of Sri Lanka – How & Why a non-Sri Lankan citizen was appointed by the current Prime Minister, who himself is a “questionable” appointment by Presidential decree.<\/p>\n

4: The future of incumbent Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran and the CB Treasury bond deal?<\/p>\n

5: Did son-in-law Arjun Aloysius\u2019 company \u2018Perpetual Treasuries\u2019 Rs 10 billion Treasury Bond transaction, achieve due to “internal Insider-Information & family related deal”?<\/p>\n

6: Status of Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake’s on-going legalities, and the effect on his credibility as Finance Minister.<\/p>\n

7: The current GOSL policy on LTTE, under the heavy influence of USA through India to carve out North & East as Tamil-Muslim protectorates, under the wing of CBK.<\/p>\n

8: More factual & credible analysis of construction of the Port City by Chinese companies, and the Sri Lankan beneficiaries on alleged 30-40% commission gains.<\/p>\n

Will the Chinese companies be held accountable for Bribery & Corruption, as Chinese government action against Western corporations?<\/p>\n

9:\u00a0 More factual & credible analysis of construction of the infrastructure, roads etc by Chinese companies, and the Sri Lankan beneficiaries on alleged 30-40% commission gains.<\/p>\n

Will the Chinese companies be held accountable for Bribery & Corruption, as Chinese government action against Western corporations?<\/p>\n

Bribery & Corruption – Offering & Accepting Bribes are considered equally illegal, as currently demonstrated in China.<\/p>\n

10: The 100 Day Goals – As promised during the General Elections, An Audit of what was Achieved during the 100 days.<\/p>\n

Whilst Corruption & Fraud certainly requires greater control, the current scenario looks more of a “Witch-hunt” than a balanced investigation.<\/p>\n

With Parliamentary elections round the corner, it is abundantly clear that the entire mud-slinging has political connotations.<\/p>\n

Perhaps some of the diligent observers might shed some light!<\/p>\n
