Tamil National Alliance (TNA) National List nominee Prof S Sitampalam held a meeting at the Jaffna Technical College on July 20 at 12.30. He was invited by the Director of the College, N Yogarajan and Sitampalam toured the College for over one hour carrying out propaganda activities.<\/p>\n

Things took a heated turn after a number of students opposed the use of the College for electioneering. Facing the opposition of students the TNA candidate and the College Director threatened some students. Sitampalam is the person wearing a motor cycle helmet.<\/p>\n

Due to the isolated nature of Jaffna peninsula election law violations in the area go unnoticed. Since the end of the war CaFFE has attempted to end this isolation through continuous engagement, monitoring and information dissemination.<\/p>\n
