SEC chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Courtesy adaderana<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Former Chairman of the Securities Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) Dr Nalaka Godahewa says that the country is heading towards a grave danger due to unsuccessful financial administration.<\/p>\n<div class=\"newsContent\">\n<p>He says that within the country\u2019s political history of 67 years after independence, \u00a0the highest economic growth has been recorded within the past 9 years.<\/p>\n<p>The two major problems which had existed in the country, namely the 30-year long war and the economy received solution during the rule of Mahinda Rajapaksa, he told reporters at a press conference today.<\/p>\n<p>However, he says that the country\u2019s economy has completely collapsed within the past 6 months and that all development activities have come to a halt. \u00a0Dr Godahewa also claims that this has resulted in a situation where the country is not receiving long-term investments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Courtesy adaderana Former Chairman of the Securities Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) Dr Nalaka Godahewa says that the country is heading towards a grave danger due to unsuccessful financial administration.
