Sinhalayo you have come a long way not to disappear now as a small community of dependent Sinhala, hemmed between a Tamil State in the North and a Muslim State in the East. Know your past to build your future.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sri Lanka was inhabited by different tribes the Sinha, Naga and Yaksa.\u00a0 The dominant of them the Sinha had formed the original Sinhala nation absorbing the Naga and Yaksa into it.\u00a0 There were neither the Tamils nor the Muslims.<\/p>\n

The Compassionate Buddha had already come to \u00a0Sri Lanka 281 years before the arrival of Venerable \u00a0Arahant Mahinda, but the Buddha Sasana had still not been established. It was after the arrival of\u00a0 Venetrable Arahant Mahinda that the King Devanampiyatissa offered\u00a0 the Island Kindom of his\u00a0 to the Buddha\u00a0 Sasana and since then people of the country became\u00a0 Sinhala Buddhists, and there being no other rival ethnic group the Buddhist Lanka became their motherland.\u00a0\u00a0 Our country prospered after the introduction of\u00a0 Buddhism. There were many monasteries and Buddhist places of worship built by great Sinhala Kings.\u00a0 The Sinhala were a proud and a prosperous people.\u00a0 Things began to change later on due to political rivalry amoung Sinhala Kings.<\/p>\n

The Sinhala Buddhists suffered from the south Indians invaders, plunderers and thieves who came to attack our country from time to time.\u00a0 The first\u00a0 foreign invasion was by the\u00a0 Chola\u00a0 Prince Elara.\u00a0 He set up a kingdom in Anuradhapura and ruled for 44 years from 205 to 161 before the present era.\u00a0 The period saw the Sinhala people\u00a0 suffering under a strong foreign invasion. The Sinhala Kingdom was shifted to the south.\u00a0 The Sinhala Buddhists were not war mongering, but very peaceful\u00a0 and religious.\u00a0 The King Kawantissa did not want to go to war with the invader Elara, as he had a strong army, and did not want\u00a0 large numbers of his people die in a war.<\/p>\n

But his son \u00a0Prince Dutugemunu was not satisfied, having part of his beloved motherland invaded and occupied \u00a0by Elara <\/strong>a Cholan. He decided against his fathers\u2019 protest to declare war against Elara.\u00a0 King Dutugemunu<\/strong> killed the Chola King in war and re-established the kingdom in Anuradhapura and united the Country under one flag.<\/p>\n

The Sinhala kingdom thrived and the people were happy again.\u00a0 The second invasion from India came from Kalinga in 1215 AD. Kalinga Magha \u00a0s<\/strong>et up his kingdom in Polonnaruwa. He was a cruel invader.\u00a0 He destroyed many places of Buddhist worship killed Buddhist monks and built Hindu temples.\u00a0 His tyrannical rule lasted 21 years .\u00a0 He was finally defeated \u00a0and chased away by King Vjayabahu.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sri Lanka though it wanted to be a peaceful country with its people following the teachings of the Compassionate Buddha\u00a0 it had to suffer from invaders and others who came in the guise of traders and merchants.\u00a0 The Sinhala Buddhists were tolerant\u00a0 and readily accommodated\u00a0 all those who came without paying attention to their\u00a0 ulterior motives.<\/p>\n

Subsequently we were colonised\u00a0 by three nations and people suffered having been forced to change their ancient\u00a0 Buddhist culture, some \u00a0accepting the religion of the invaders imposed on them by force or accepting by necessity allowing others races to settle down amoung them.<\/p>\n

To-day we have\u00a0 political problems as a result of our earlier tolerance in accepting\u00a0 all without questioning their motives.\u00a0 The Tamils settled down in the North, the Muslims in the East and spread into Sinhala areas without leaving space for the Sinhala to live peacefully in their abodes, live their Buddhist lives, and conduct their religious rights.<\/p>\n

Now the Tamils and Muslims have not only occupied the space\u00a0 of the Sinhala , but are also demanding that the country be divided to set up their Racial separatist states.\u00a0 They clear our forests to build settlements for themselves, making all effort to make Sinhala a minority in their own country.<\/p>\n

Christianity and Catholicism introduced by the Portuguese, Dutch and the British divided\u00a0 the Sinhala people, until the Sinhala people lost their true identity.\u00a0 Now there are Sinhala Buddhists, Sinhala Christians and Sinhala Catholics.<\/p>\n

The British who colonised the country last did more damage\u00a0 to the people and the country than the previous colonial rulers.\u00a0 They targeted the Sinhala Buddhists and wanted to remove their dominance in their Island home.\u00a0 Even today the USA, UK and the West are all out to diminish the importance of the Sinhala in Sri Lanka.\u00a0 UNP is knowingly or unknowingly\u00a0 contributing to this agenda of the West<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1948 Sri Lanka was given independence.\u00a0 The UNP who took over the rule of Sri Lanka from the British were not different from the British, imitating them in dress, language, and culture.\u00a0\u00a0 Even today the UNP is identifiable by the\u00a0 tie , coat and\u00a0 trousers.<\/p>\n

The first change after independence came in 1956 with S.W.R.D.Bandaranaike<\/strong> forming a SLFP Government.\u00a0 The British imposed Democracy which divided\u00a0 Sinhala further \u00a0now according to political party lines, while the Tamils and Muslims gathered together.<\/p>\n

There was political corruption amoung the Sinhala politicians who developed political clans and divided\u00a0 Sinhala people.\u00a0 The UNP did not forget its slavish subjugation to Western\u00a0 culture and still\u00a0 imitates the British, in dress speech, and divisive political methods used by their British political masters<\/strong>. In to this period of chaos after the assassination of SWRD Banadaranaike , came virulent Tamil racist politicians who demanded equal rights along with the Sinhala.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The worst was yet to come in 1983 after failure of the Successive UNP Governments to build communal unity, and stop Indian influence in Sri Lanka.\u00a0 A goup of Tamil youth were taken in hand by the Indian secret agents\u00a0 under the instruction of Indra Gandhi, to train them in terrorism.\u00a0 After India had trained Prabhakaran and a handful of others in terrorism they were released in Sri Lanka.\u00a0 They announced their presence with the caused\u00a0 a backlash by the Sinhala, on which the Tamils put the blame on the Sinhala. It was the Prabhakaran and his terrorists who really started it.<\/p>\n

That was the beginning of terrorism in Sri Lanka. They gradually \u00a0became a powerful force helped by India and also by the West who wanted to diminish the dominance of \u00a0Sinhala in Sri Lanka.\u00a0 The terrorists\u00a0 cunning, resourceful, and ruthless were helped by the Western Governments and funded by the Tamil expatriates living abroad. The terrorists became an important armed force with modern arms and armament.<\/p>\n

The successive UNP governments more concerned about retaining political power in their hand were no match to the terrorist forces.\u00a0 JR Jayawardhane of the UNP failed to stop the terrorist though he nearly succeeded in doing so in 1978, but fell into a trap set by India and agreed to introduce the most uncouth 13 Amendment to the constitution of Sri Lanka, in exchange for an Indian Peace Keeping Force to disarm the terrorists.<\/p>\n

R.Premadasa wanted to send away the Indian Peace Keeping Force and fortified the terrorists by handing over to them arms and ammunition to defeat the IPKF. His treachery caused him his life.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, it was the turn of the\u00a0 Chandrika Kumaratunga , who had to battle with the\u00a0 terrorism along with unscrupulous back stabbing Hakeem and his clique of SLMC parliamentarians. But Hakeem had by then entered in to talks with the terrorist leader Prabhakaran to later\u00a0 sign a MoU to form a Muslim state in the East. Hakeem left Chandrika Kumaratunga\u2019s government causing her to dissolve the parliament and call for elections. It was UNP that won the election and formed a Government, putting Chandrika into great difficulty. Ranil Wickramasinghe became her Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

Ranil Wickramasinghe as the Prime Minister completely took over the government\u00a0 making the President Chandrika Kumaratunga a decoration.\u00a0 This is exactly what Ranil Wickramasinghe is doing today. The President Maitripala Sirisena is reduced to being a puppet held by Ranil leaving him a small space to move about. To-day Ranil Wickramasinghe is the President doing what he wants the way he wants , and Maitripala Sirisena is reduced to a mere puppet with a big mouth to talk.<\/p>\n

When Ranil Wickramasinghe became the Prime Minister under the President Chandrika Kumaratunga, he just ignored President Chndrika Kumaratunga.\u00a0 Along with Eric Solheim Ranil Wickramasinghe negotiated with Prabhakaran the terrorist leader\u00a0 and \u00a0\u00a0entered with him \u00a0the CAF.<\/p>\n

Chandrika eventually took away Ranils Ministry. Chandrika having no intelligent political vision, nor imagination\u00a0 could only think of offering the north to Prabhakaran for ten years to settle terrorism.\u00a0 Fortunately Prabhakaran refused and blinded Chandrika in one eye. Ranil Wickramasinghe began peace negotiations with the terrorists, which only helped the terrorists become an important military force having acquired more arms from countries where the peace negotiations were held, according to the whim and fancy of Prabhakaran.<\/p>\n

Ranil Wickramasinghe spells disaster, whether he was under JR Jayawardhane, R.Premadasa, Chandrika Kumaratunga or \u00a0now under Maitripala Sirisena.\u00a0\u00a0 Maitripala Sirisena has neither the intelligence nor the political maturity, nor has he a sufficient knowledge of English to understand what Ranil, Chandrika and Mangala are doing behind his back. Sirisena is na\u00efve and he does not know that he is being manipulated by Ranil Wickramasinghe to keep the USA and Western Agenda.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ranil Wickramasinghe is more cunning and capable of keeping Maithripala Sirisena\u00a0 under his foot, allowing him freedom now and then to attend a school price giving or lay a foundation stone.\u00a0 But even the second foundation stone laid after Mahinda Rajapakse\u00a0 to declare open the same \u00a0Kandy Colombo high way was laid by Ranil and not Sirisena.<\/p>\n

Ranil Wickramasinghe is a Christian.\u00a0 Ranil is\u00a0 a man with a Western education who wants to imitate his\u00a0 Western masters \u00a0and win their good will.\u00a0 He is not keen in developing Sri Lanka as a Sinhala Buddhist Nation.\u00a0 It is often heard saying that Ranil is a gentleman.\u00a0 But he did not show his quality of a gentleman in dealing with his President Chandrika nor with his infamous affair of Batalanda.\u00a0 His great satisfaction is to get patted on his back by the Americans and the Western whites. He will do any thing to please them.<\/p>\n

After the first Cholan\u00a0 occupation of Sri Lanka , it was King Dutugemunu<\/strong> who came from the South to defend his country against the invader Elara in a just war and ended the 44 year old Cholan occupation and unite Sri Lanka. In the second occupation of Sri Lanka by Magha of Kalinga it was King Vijayabahu III<\/strong> who ended that disastrous period of Indian occupation and united Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

The third danger almost an occupation of the North of Sri Lanka came from the terrorist Prabhakaran, who terrorised the North and the rest of Sri Lanka for thirty long years. The worst terrorist ever perhaps worse than Kalinga Magah was eliminated and\u00a0 Sri Lanka was Unified by the former President Mahinda Rajapaks<\/strong> who also came from the south.<\/p>\n

To-day we are at cross roads. If the Sinhala are not vigilant and take seriously into consideration the Situation Sri Lanka is in today, we will be sealing the division of Sri Lanka.\u00a0 That danger is more real today\u00a0 than it was\u00a0 six years ago.\u00a0 There are pseudo Sinhala like Wijedasa Rajapakse who denies that Sri Lanka does not belong to the Sinhala. There is Eran Wickramaratne a Christian Priest now in civil and become a UNP Parliamentarian, who denies that there is no danger from the expatriate Tamils to Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

This evening watching a\u00a0 Derana TV political debate( Aluth Parlimenthuwa), an expatriate Sri Lankan from London.showed photos showing the activities of the pro terrorist Tamils in London, and how they are supported by the government of UK allowing them to carry pro terrorist \u00a0advertisements citing Prabhakaran and Nelson Mandela as the greatest freedom fighters, on London Buses.<\/p>\n

The debate \u00a0showed how the Sri Lanka Parliamentarians of the UNP and the JVP contesting the August 17 elections are completely ignorant of the dangers coming from the expatriate Tamils in UK, USA, Canada and Germany.\u00a0 Not only are Tamil expatriates in these countries carry on a campaign\u00a0 demanding political self determination for the Tamils in Sri Lanka but these expatriate Tamils have influenced the Governments of the countries in which they live to work against Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

Wijedasa Rajapakse , Eran Wickramaratne and Handunetti of JVP said it is fabricated , and the Sinhala expatriate who tried to explain that the Sri Lanka Politicians without considering their political affiliations should be aware of this and\u00a0 take necessary action against the foreign governments from supporting a terrorist group banned in the countries, was laughed at and was asked by them to take action himself to speak to the expatriate Tamils and settle it.<\/p>\n

UNP with these ignorance and refusal accept facts,\u00a0 are a danger to Sri Lanka. UNP is ready even to divide Sri Lanka between the Tamils and Muslims according to their idea of reconciliation<\/p>\n

Now it is up to every Sinhala whether Buddhist, Christian or Catholic\u00a0 to be aware of what UNP wants to do NOT in the interest of Sri Lanka and its people but in their own \u00a0interest to capture political power. If the Sinhala are patriotic and cannot be bought by money or by \u00a0a drink they should vote against UNP and all those who contest under the Elephant Symbol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>In Six months Ranil Wickramasinghe\u00a0 and his cohorts contesting under the UNP Symbol of\u00a0 Elelphant have done lot of damage to Sri Lanka taking it to the past rather than taking it forward.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Sinhala people have suffered, under Elaras,\u00a0 Magahs, Prabhakarans, Jayawardhanas, Premadasas and now\u00a0 it is\u00a0 Ranil Wickramasinghe, and his cohorts like Madoluwawe Sobhita, Chandrika, Champika, Ratana who would certainly cause years of suffering to Sri Lanka and the Sinhala people,if they come into power. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>UNP will\u00a0 divide the country and sell it to USA to set up an American Base in the North, and probably handover Mattala Air Port as well to USA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Sri Lanka Sinhalayo, wake up take note of the danger\u00a0 looming ahead if you vote for Ranil Wickramasinghe and all those who contest in the Parliamentary election of the 17 August,2015 under the Elephant symbol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Do NOT vote for Ranil Wickramasinghe and his followers contesting under the Elephant Symbol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>JVP is yet another danger.\u00a0 They will divide the vote. They are a set of talkers without proposing any thing constructive.\u00a0 They have caused enough trouble to Sri Lanka in the Past, in the Present, and will continue to do so in future.\u00a0 A vote for JVP is a wasted vote. <\/strong><\/p>\n
