Concerned Diaspora<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Mr. president,<\/p>\n

I heard you sent a letter to former President Rajapaksa a couple of days ago. I have a\u00a0Suggestion: Why not send another letter to the former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe too? Otherwise, he will feel left out, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n

Here are my suggestions for that letter. You can write it in Sinhala if you like. I have been eager to speak to someone in your government for a long time. But I live outside the country. You see, I am one of the diaspora ignored by your ex-Foreign Minister. He only meets with the Pro-LTTE diaspora.<\/p>\n

Here are my suggestions for your letter to the ex-PM:<\/p>\n

  1. Tell him you are the President and ask him not to twist your arm.<\/li>\n
  2. Ask him to own up to his guilt for the Central Bank fiasco.<\/li>\n
  3. Tell him to stop making secret deals with the North.<\/li>\n
  4. Ask him to stop lying about his opponents.<\/li>\n
  5. Tell him to stop exaggerating about the 100-day plan that never materialized.<\/li>\n
  6. Tell him to stop his Foreign Minister from making false statements.<\/li>\n
  7. Tell him to stop this nonsense about building a bridge to Tamil Nadu.<\/li>\n
  8. Ask him to explain how he got a scholarship\u201d to MIT not long before January 8th.<\/li>\n
  9. Tell him we saw that there were only 5 people in the audience for a scheduled speech by him at MIT<\/li>\n
  10. Ask him to stop playing the religion game by going to Kovils at this time of his life.<\/li>\n
  11. Tell him to stop his Finance Minister taking credit for positive things done by the last government.<\/li>\n
  12. Tell him to keep his Foreign Minister in check and make sure political appointees in embassies do some work ie updating their websites.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I can go on and on\u2026 but this is a good list for a start.<\/p>\n
