The emergence of a new political organization with the blessings of President Mahinda Rajapakse has been long overdue.\u00a0 During February through\u00a0 May this year, pro-Mahinda Group was fully geared to the formation of a new political organization, but was fooled and foiled\u00a0 by Messrs Nimal Siripala De Silva, Susil Premajayntha and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 President MR trusted these three crooks and the end result is now clear.<\/p>\n

In our article under the title of\u00a0 “POLITICAL FROGS OF UPFA \u2013 NEED TO PUBLISH A LIST OF PRO MAHINDA CANDIDATES IMMEDIATELY\u201d<\/strong> published in the Lankaweb on August 10, we pre-warned the dangers of untrustworthy elements entering into the movement.\u00a0 We republish below\u00a0 some sections of the article for easy reference: ”\u00a0The average voter is likely to identify anyone with the logo of betel leaf as a\u00a0\u00a0 Pro MR candidate.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Therefore\u00a0 media campaign should be undertaken by the UPFA organisers, to publish a list of Pro MR candidates, excluding the\u00a0\u00a0 names of those candidates whose names have been included at the instigation of President Sirisena.<\/p>\n

We have seen candidates such as Wijethamuni Soyza, Nandimithra Ekanayake, Janaka Bandra Tennakoon already publicly apologising to the President Mahinda Rajapakse.\u00a0 But how about others, such as Mohanlal Grero, Thilanga Sumathipala, Duminda Dissanayake, Upeksha Swarnamali, Pavithra Wanniarrachchi, Mahinda Samrasinghe?<\/p>\n

NEVER TRUST THOSE WHO DEFECTED:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe is marginalising the SLFP Ministers to create a dissatisfaction with them by the voters.\u00a0 The SLFP Ministers as well as other MPs in MS camp are increasingly feeling the heat.\u00a0\u00a0 MS has no power to\u00a0 provide funding for\u00a0 the projects\u00a0 that are being recommended by the SLFP Ministers and MPs.\u00a0 Consequently, these MPs are publicly offering numerous explanations to the general public to explain the situation.<\/p>\n

It will not be too long, these disgruntled MPs will be looking for an opportunity to jump the ship and join MR camp once again.<\/p>\n

WHOM TO TRUST?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the loss of Presidential Election, massive crowds gathered at Medamulana at their own initiative.\u00a0\u00a0 Most of them visited the President MR on repeated occasions, offering their participation in any future political movement.<\/p>\n

Amongst them, there were no popular names.\u00a0 Amongst them, there were no Drug Barons.\u00a0 Amongst them,\u00a0 there were no rich businessmen.\u00a0\u00a0 But they were true believers in Mahinda Chinthana.<\/p>\n

In any future election campaign, nominations should be given to new comers and refrain from accommodating defeated candidates at the next elections.<\/p>\n

The new movement should give pride of place to these new blood, under the guidance of Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Vidura Wickremanayake, Prasanna Ranatunga. Namal Rajapakse etc.\u00a0 Apart from President Mahinda Rajapakse, the legendary Gotabaya Rajapakse, Dinesh Gunawardene, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Dr Gunadasa Amerasekera, Prof G L Pieris, Sarath N Silva,\u00a0\u00a0 should provide the back-up.\u00a0 If DEW Gunasekera is unhappy of participating in a Nationalist\u00a0 Movement, he could join Yahapalanaya as well.\u00a0 Athureliya Rathana, Dharmasiri Bandaranayake, Somawansa Amerasinghe etc need to be regarded as dormant products.<\/p>\n

UNP AND SLFP VOTE BASE<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Unlike in the past, the volume of UNP and SLFP votes will be largely UNP votes, with the SLFP vote base fast disappearing.\u00a0 The new political force will be able to capture all anti UNP votes, if it consist of leaders with true Nationalist Agenda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
