In 2001 or thereabout Ranil W our Prime Minister made an announcement that he would like to see our farmers in JEANS. God knows why of all people, he would want to see farmers in jeans, but this was the vision of a man most UNPers feel is a blessing to the nation. There are of course many of us who believe a few more months of this cursed rule would end up the ruin of the nation. Here’s why<\/p>\n

  1. Giving farmers land deeds is a cunning way to induce them to sell their farm land thus ruining agriculture\/farming and giving the importers a lottery to import rice. This will bring whatever self-sustenance we have left to naught. We seem to have forgotten that this nation was once called the granary of the East.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Invariably land will get sold to either foreigners or Tamil Diaspora eyeing to expand their eelam.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Sinhala modayas in Parliament who only want to eat, drink, play around and make money do not realize or seem to care of the damage they are doing to a nation with a recorded 2600 history and a civilization extending over 30,000 years.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Losing farmland that will be turned into cement will eventually affect all races – Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslims (the ordinary people) Ranil & Co appear to be eating only ham & bacon!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
