The SG was re-emphasising the absolute need to adhere to the last letter of law in resolution which Sri Lanka co-sponsored without any shame.

It is indeed interesting to examine the high handed and illegal manner in which Moon handled the issues concerning the Sri Lankan war to comprehend the highly questionable role played by him in June 2010. The Secretary General, Moon appointed a Panel of Experts for his INFORMATION consisting of controversial individuals obviously to ‘create’ a case against Sri Lanka. This report was not placed in the official records of the Council, neither an opportunity was granted to Sri Lanka to respond to its contents.
