They correctly fear another round of war, white flags and howling Tamil war widows far too many to count. Strange that participants in Eluka Tamil were unaffected by war. Those who were affected by war didn\u2019t participate. The inevitable end of Pongu Tamil and Eluka Tamil is Poda Tamil. All peace-loving people must appreciate this fact before it is too late.<\/p>\n<p>What Vigneswaran did was worse than his predecessor Vartharaja Perumal did with his UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence). However, then president Premadasa was wise enough to immediately dissolve the provincial council.<\/p>\n<p>Current president, came to power on Tamil votes, is too afraid to do so putting the nation in jeopardy. Sirisena is sadly mistaken if he thinks he can win Tamil votes again in 2020. By then Sirisena will be worthless for Tamils. They will go after a politician promising much more than Sirisena can deliver.<\/p>\n<p>Tamils must understand it is not only them that should live in Sri Lanka or have problems. Others too have the same right to life, property ownership, live in any part of the island nation and have problems that must be addressed in any political solution. There cannot be a political solution to address only the problems of Tamils. Such a \u2018political solution\u2019 is Apartheid and no solution at all. Making vile threats doesn\u2019t alter this reality.<\/p>\n<p>Given the extremism displayed by the Northern Province Chief Minister, it is horrifying to note that he held a senior position for a very long time in the nation\u2019s justice system. His involvement and matters handled by him must be perused to check if discrimination was ever exercised against the very people he launched Eluka Tamil. Sri Lankan government must be very careful not to allow people of this caliber to occupy top positions in the judicial system. He is not alone as LTTE\u2019s advisor Siva Pasupathy also exploited the judicial system of the country.
