This was an election where media stood exposed for its open bias, a feature unexpected but one that propelled the people to undo the injustice. The election was a display of watching America defeat itself. It has shown that America does not have an honest mainstream media. The media campaign for Hillary was glaringly obvious that media eventually ignored reality. The media will have to go through some serious readjustment if they are to regain their credibility among the masses. The New York Times has commenced with an apology for their biased coverage. Trump was to say \u2018I am running against a crooked media not just crooked Clinton\u2019. . If the US can claim that media is centred in Washington and New York staff by Democrats hostile to Republicans the same can be said of Sri Lanka\u2019s media run by Christians hostile to majority Sinhala Buddhists.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Media derives from medium which in turn means carrier of news. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Its duty is to inform, educate and entertain the people. Today, the media is part of the elite establishment programming our minds and influencing the masses. Its time we stopped believing these lies and if they continue the lies stop buying their newspapers and advertising through them. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Only 6% trust the media as per research by the American Press Institute. Center for Public Integrity released its 2016 campaign analysis showing that 96% of journalists (430) had given $382,000 to Clinton and just $14,000 to GOP nominee Donald Trump (50). Why would journalists wish to donate to politicians?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The bias of the establishment media came when they downplayed the effect Bernie Sanders was having on people projecting the notion that he was having no effect on the masses thus to downgrade his Democratic nomination in favour of Hillary. DNC leaks confirmed Hillary\u2019s collusion with the media. The open favouring by <\/span><\/span>Lester Holt\u00a0towards Hillary was too visible.

According to wikileaks CNN asks DNC what questions to ask Trump when Wolf Blitzer was to interview him. This is the email that was sent <\/span>Wolf Blitzer is interviewing Trump on Tues ahead of his foreign policy address on Wed. \u2026 Please send me thoughts by 10:30 AM tomorrow,\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another hacked mail on 2 March 2015 reveals that Clinton\u2019s campaign chairman Podesta recommending \u2018dumping her emails\u2019 which the mainstream media covered by claiming dumping meant making public. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

DNC interim chairwoman Donna Brazile had even leaked debate questions to Clinton \u2013 it cost her job after the exposure.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Washington Times say that large numbers of Americans believe Hillary has \u2018something to hide\u2019. The feelings became intensified with the exaggerated statements that came to endorse her \u2013 we\u2019ll take just one example in President Obama who spoke of her qualities<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the courage, the compassion and the heart\u201d<\/span>\u00a0making listeners choke laughing! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Trump won all online polls except CNN and NBC who were found guilty of openly canvassing for Clinton. CBS news poll was equally biased towards Hillary. Trump even threatened to sue New York Times for publishing 2 articles against him <\/span><\/span>about two women accusing him of inappropriate physical advances toward them. Trump even accused <\/span><\/span>CNN\u2019s Anderson Cooper and ABC\u2019s Martha Raddatz of bias towards Hillary. This is not what people expect from mainstream media. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Wikileaks disclosures had nothing to do with Russia. They were actual emails sent by Hillary Clinton and her staff. These were no conspiracy stories further strengthening the bizarre levels that media stooped to.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Emails show Univision Chairman Haim Saban urging the Clinton campaign to hit Donald Trump harder over immigration, the <\/span>New York Times<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/em> giving the campaign veto power over which interview quotes could be used in a profile of the candidate, the <\/span>Boston Globe<\/span><\/span><\/u><\/em> trying to time a Clinton opinion piece to do the most good in New Hampshire and CNBC\u2019s John Harwood urging Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta to watch out for then-GOP candidate Dr. Ben Carson,\u201d WND reports. The documents also show Democratic National Committee official and CNN contributor Donna Brazile tipping off the Clinton campaign to a potentially difficult CNN town-hall question on capital punishment during the Democratic Party primary season. Brazile adamantly denies doing that.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How many in media questioned her FBI investigation or rigging the primary all of which made her unsuited to be the Presidential candidate? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

No one expected Washington Post and Foreign Policy to also publish pro-Hillary articles. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Washington Post\u2019s<\/span><\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>endorsement of Hillary Clinton<\/span><\/span> Ms. Clinton\u2019s career as a series of learning experiences that have prepared her well for such an environment,\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/i>juxtapose this with the manner Hillary hysterically laughs at the death of Gaddafi <\/span>\u2018We came, we saw, he died\u2019<\/span><\/span> Is this the manner that a to-be President should behave?<\/span><\/p>\n

Wikileaks has even exposed how Washington Post held a secret fundraising campaign for DNC Clinton campaign.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We cherish and fiercely protect this publication\u2019s independence and its reputation for objectivity, and we deeply value our relationship with all of our readers, regardless of political orientation.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/i> Then their editors come out with articles heading<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Hillary Clinton For President of the United States,\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>giving their rationale for endorsing Hillary. Ending the article with Hillary <\/span><\/span>is <\/span>one of the best qualified candidates this country has produced since World War II<\/span><\/i>.\u201d<\/span> In Sri Lanka we know too well how articles are tilted to favour candidates. <\/span>Its about time people started stopping buying these newspapers as there are enough of internet news sites where people can discover the truth and verify it too. <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

At least the WashingtonTimes put a list of lies by Hillary <\/span>http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2016\/jun\/19\/hillary-clintons-long-list-of-lies\/<\/span><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n

Trump reading the media\u2019s bias gave them all the meat they wanted to which the media fell whereby the more the media ridiculed and laughed at him and propped Hillary, the general public began to view the scenario differently which explains why 53% of his voters were women and how social media turned anti-Hillary. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The worst was to come when mainstream media avoided highlighting any of wikileaks exposes. Wikileaks exposure of the Clinton Foundation was kept from the public even the news that <\/span><\/span>Clinton Foundation received a $1 million donation from Qatar (a major funder of ISIS)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

High profile endorsements for Hillary Clinton <\/span>https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_Hillary_Clinton_presidential_campaign_endorsements,_2016<\/span><\/a> full list is indeed shocking. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Clinton Staff hosted private off-the-record cocktail party\u201d with 38 influential\u201d reporters, journalists, editors, and anchors (from 16 different mainstream media outlets including CNN, NBC, CBS, NYT, MSNBC, & more) with the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>stated goal of framing the race.\u201d

There are plenty of even senior journalists in Sri Lanka who write to political parties as <\/span><\/span>Glen Thrush, POLITICO\u2019s chief political correspondent and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>senior staff writer for POLITICO Magazine, sends John Podesta an article for his approval<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Please don\u2019t share or tell anyone I did this. Tell me if I fucked up anything.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

How about this email – <\/span>Huffington Post contributor Frank Islam writes to John Podesta in an\u00a0email titled My blogs in the Huffington Post\u201d, says<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>I am committed to make sure she is elected the next president.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Please let me know if I can be of any service to you.\u201d<\/span><\/span>

Please prepare a list of Sri Lankan paid journalists who are guilty of this – <\/span><\/span>Clinton staffer Placing a story\u201d with Politico \/ New York Times<\/span><\/a>: place a story with a friendly journalist\u201d we have a very good relationship with Maggie Haberman of Politico\u201d we should shape likely leaks in the best light for HRC.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And how many Sri Lankan journalists send their articles for approval??? <\/span><\/span>John Podesta receiving drafts of New York Times articles<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>before they\u2019re published.<\/span><\/span> Remember how some newspapers took it upon themselves to canvass for a presidential candidate in Sri Lanka and how this trend continues.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This must be how some people are projected as economic visionaries in Sri Lanka – <\/span><\/span>Clinton staff colluding with New York Times and Wall Street Journal<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to paint Hillary\u2019s economic policies in a progressive\u201d light.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Please do not trust any articles by Associated Press – <\/span><\/span>Clinton staff appearing to control the release times<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>of Associated Press articles.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The media serve, and propagandize on behalf of, the powerful societal interests that control and finance them. The representatives of these interests have important agendas and principles that they want to advance, and they are well positioned to shape and constrain media policy.\u201d \u2013<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This election has shown that the media is not to be trusted. Newspapers, tv, radio are all used to program people and psychologically play games with them. They are able to even create ethnic\/religious divides \u2013 we have seen this too often in Sri Lanka were actions are ignored but reactions are blown out of proportion and exaggerated. It is highly unlikely that the media can or will gag their own conduct, highly unlikely too that nominees of the establishment will monitor them as well. The social media and alternative media offers people enough of views allowing the people to make up their own judgements \u2013 right or wrong. This was how for the first time the American public saw through mainstream media, realized there were characters like Soros who can pay to get people to create revolutions and false flag riots, and media personalities who for money will tell or write any lie. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The people like the American public must now wake up. If the media is lying, they must be shunned. Even after the elections the same media entities that went overboard are doing the same damage now primarily because they have no other option since they have sold their soul. The nail to the coffin must come when the people shun purchasing or subscribing to them. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
