The article Maithripala Sirisena desecrated SLFP of SWRD Bandaranaike-it ceased to exist on 16 January,2015\u201d, is to say that SWRD took\u00a0 away his Sinhala Maha Sabha from UNP to form the SLFP a radically different political party with a socialist leaning, as he thought that the pro-western capitalist system of UNP\u00a0 is not suitable to an \u00a0Independent Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n

SWRD confirmed \u00a0the SLFP\u2019s socialist trend by joining with the LSSP and the Sri Lanka Communist Party. SWRD never expected any one inheriting the leadership of his SLFP to go back to UNP to form a government along with them.\u00a0 Therefore Maithripala Sirisena who left SLFP to join the UNP and the opposition has no right to lead the SLFP. The only way out now for the true members of\u00a0 SLFP is to displace Maithripala Sirisena\u00a0 from the leadership of SLFP, giving it back to Mahinda Rajapakse the last leader of SLFP, or form a new political \u00a0party which would \u00a0include the policies of\u00a0 SWRD, \u00a0lead by Mahinda Rajapakse.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That was what the article was about.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When the article appeared on Lankaweb, the first to comment\u00a0 on it was Gonsul\u00a0 statating that, there is a notable difference between MR and SWRD\u2026..and a long tirade without any connection to what the article was really about. Then Lorenzo joined in with his\u00a0 point by point list showing the difference between SWRD and MR. Thereafter all the comments were about the comments\u201d of Gonsul and Lorenzo.<\/p>\n

Some of the articles on the Lanakweb which are often \u00a0against the present Yahapalanaya set up, and in appreciation of the political, social,and economic contribution of MR, are mutilated or invalidated by the Comments of Gonsul and Lorenzo.\u00a0 This continues, Lorenzo brings in Gota into the picture but the\u00a0 intention in doing so is perhaps\u00a0 not so much to make a hero out of him, but eventually to\u00a0 make Gotabhaya Rajapakse unpopular.<\/p>\n

When articles written painfully\u201d to express dislike of what is happening in the country in the name of democracy, disappear in the smoke of\u00a0 some comments, one begins to wonder what good it serves to speak out against a system that seems to be\u00a0 settling down to destroy Sri Lanka, rather than take it forward as a united country, where there is \u00a0peace and security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
