If we the citizens all join together to act in a coordinated way, we can beat up this menace.<\/p>\n<p>All what we have to do is to make sure we all check our won surroundings for any water collection. Every single Sunday at 9 a.m. \u00a0if we can just check our homes and garden surroundings for any\u00a0 place where there is a possibility of a mosquito laying eggs \u2013 i.e. stagnant water \u2013 we can eradicate dengue.<\/p>\n<p>Once a week checking is enough if done methodically. Even if a mosquito lays eggs during other days it will take at least 10 days to hatch and become mosquitoes. Therefore if every Sunday the whole nation makes sure we do this checking there will be no\u00a0 place for mosquitoes to multiply themselves.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to this \u00a0we can also propagate mosquito repellant plants such as mint, basil, sera and vinca (mini mal).
