{"id":62957,"date":"2017-02-01T15:18:15","date_gmt":"2017-02-01T22:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/?p=62957"},"modified":"2017-02-01T15:18:32","modified_gmt":"2017-02-01T22:18:32","slug":"property-in-ireland-i-wont-respond-to-fb-claims-anura-kumara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/2017\/02\/01\/property-in-ireland-i-wont-respond-to-fb-claims-anura-kumara\/","title":{"rendered":"Property in Ireland: I won&#8217;t respond to FB claims: Anura Kumara"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"well well-lg\"><em>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Courtesy The Daily Mirror<\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n<div class=\"row inner-text\">\n<p>Referring to claims that he owns a property in Ireland, JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said he had no interest in responding to claims made on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, several pictures of a letter from the Irish Revenue Department addressed to one Anura Kumara Dissanayake was circulated on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>The letter addressed to Dissanayake Mudiyanselage Anura Kumara Dissanayake was dated October 16, 2016 and referred to a property on 28, Sydney Avenue, Blackrock, Dublin 6.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.dailymirror.lk\/media\/images\/image_1485880068-8d1433798a.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Signed by Collector General Michael Gladney the letter is a reminder to pay 675 Euros as Local Property Tax (LPT) for the year 2017.<\/p>\n<p>When contacted by Daily Mirror, the JVP Leader questioned whether any public figure had made any accusations against him in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>If someone in the public sphere such as another MP or politician has not made such an accusation, I do not see the point in answering such questions.
