Why did the Sri Lanka Army recently invite somebody who sold the entire country down the drain as the Chef Guest at the Kotelawala Defence University\u2019s Graduate Studies Department\u2019s Inauguration of Masters Programs for the year 2017? This invitee, Paikiasothy Saravanamuttu also delivered the keynote address.<\/header>\n

Probable answers:
\n1. They want to make sure that no person with even a modicum of integrity or self respect would join the army anymore, and that all future armed campaigns\/wars if any, would be lost as a result.<\/p>\n

2. They want to completely destroy the army\u2019s reputation for an eternity, and the average soldier\u2019s morale to boot.<\/p>\n

3. They want to make sure that now that there is no war, the army would be known alternately, not for having fighting men and true warriors \u2014 but for having standup comedians and comics, or simple clowns, who think nothing of inviting their own destroyers, to enable their own destruction.<\/p>\n

But seriously, it is unlikely that the army top brass per se invited this palpable anti-people agitprop agent as the chief guest. (See links below for confirmation if you need any. There is much more evidence of this person\u2019s anti Sri Lankan advocacy, but what\u2019s linked here would suffice for the moment.)
\nThis is a guy who has constantly maintained that the Sri Lankan Army committed excesses etc. and that an an international investigation with foreign judges should be the way to set about post war retribution, which his ilk has conveniently and cynically labelled \u2018reconciliation\u2019.<\/p>\n

Of course we all know that the current Sri Lankan \u2018Yahapalana\u2019 government specializes in rubbing the faces of our valiant soldier heroes in the sand.
\nIn fact they specialize in rubbing the faces of all Sri Lankans in the sand.
\nThis dispensation also seems to like getting the country molested at will by all sorts of ghouls representing rapacious foreign interests \u2014 and others allied to these foreign interests. However this latest stunt stinks to high heaven and beyond. Inviting this zero-integrity character to be the Chief Guest at an army inauguration event is akin to inviting the fox to grace the Hen Party,
\nOr asking Jack the Ripper to be the Chief Guest at a Women\u2019s Welfare Conference.
\nIt\u2019s not time for jesting of course. Seriously, don\u2019t these people \u2013 the inviters and the invited have no sense of shame at all? NO SENSE OF SHAME AT ALL?
\nWe doubt the Army per se did the inviting anyway. Somebody obviously did the inviting for the Army, and that was somebody the army which is in the process of getting its collective face rubbed in the sand, could obviously not say no to.
\nReally doesn\u2019t anybody concerned with this stinking affair have no sense of shame whatsoever?
\nAnswer: No they DO NOT
\nOf course the army would now probably be made to write to all and sundry saying \u2018we did the inviting on our own\u2019. Well, we know the meaning of the word coercion.
\nAlso, the million dollar question in all of this is, doesn\u2019t the man who was invited not have a smidgen of shame, going before an army he denigrated so viciously \u2014 and baring his teeth in a grin? This man must have the hide of a rhinoceros.<\/p>\n
