Despite assurances given by Eunuch Sirisena and foreign slavish Ranil that foreign judges will not be brought in to hear cases relating to\u00a0 the so-called alleged missing persons the government is making arrangements to betray the war heroes who are alleged to have been involved in activities relating to making persons missing in an indirect and devious method.<\/p>\n

The old hag Chandrika however told a media conference recently that the government should give priority to address the missing persons issue and said it is advisable to allow foreign judges to get involved in this matter.\u00a0 She said that foreign governments, various foreign and local organizations and many people in the country have lost confidence in the local Courts as these Courts were highly politicized recently and very often top politicians instructed the Courts by telephone calls on how to deliver judgements in respect of some cases.<\/p>\n

The government by co-sponsoring the obnoxious UNHRC resolution brought by the United States against Sri Lanka has consented to hearing cases related to alleged persons responsible for war crimes by foreign judges and prosecutors. As a result of the pledge given by co-sponsoring this resolution our then Foreign Minister fashion designer and Tamil diaspora stooge Mangala Samaraweera, the foreign slavish government has introduced a Bill in the Parliament to adopt \u2018the international convention on protection of people from making them missing\u2019. If this Bill was passed in the parliament instead of holding trials in this country the government will become obligatory to handover the persons alleged to have been involved in making persons missing and or those who have been responsible for giving orders to make such persons missing to foreign countries to face trials there.<\/p>\n

Given below is a translation of a speech made by the Deputy Leader of the National Freedom Front and the General Secretary of the National Movement for Protection of War Heroes Parliamentarian Jayantha Samaraweera addressing a media conference held to warn the people on the dangers of this Bill. He said that the time has come to protect the war heroes who valiantly fought in the war and liberated the people of this country from the fears of war and death.<\/p>\n

He said the Bill relating to establishment of an office for missing persons which has been already approved and the proposed Bill to adopt \u2018the international convention on protection of people from making them missing\u2019 which is being carried out by this inept puppet government on the instigation of Tamil separatists and the powerful countries who look forward\u00a0 to make this country a colony of theirs will pave the way to destroy the commander in chief and the gallant war heroes who ushered in the war victory.<\/p>\n

Speaking further MP Jayantha Samaraweera said that since 8th<\/sup> January 2015 this puppet regime has acted to destroy the gallant war heroes who rescued the Sri Lankan nation comprising Sinhla, Tamil, Muslim, Malay and Burgher from the fear of death and provided consolation. These treacherous elements are trying to lay down a dangerous trap for the war heroes who made a great victory for this country even at the 8th<\/sup> anniversary of the greatest war victory.<\/p>\n

One clause in the obnoxious US resolution No, 30\/1 of 2015 against Sri Lanka co-sponsored by the foreign minister of this country proposes to formulate Laws to investigate about the missing persons of Sri Lanka. It was according to this proposal this puppet government making use of their majority got the Bill for establishment of an office to identify the missing persons approved.\u00a0 At the time they obtained the cabinet approval for that Bill they clandestinely laid another trap to send the war heroes to gallows.\u00a0 That was getting cabinet approval for the Bill relating to adopt \u2018the international convention on protection of people from making them missing\u2019. The general tradition in the event of getting the approval of the cabinet for adoption of an international convention is to keep the parliament intimated of such a Bill. But the Sirisena-Ranil Junta took the preliminary step to empower this international convention within the Laws of this country by getting cabinet approval for it covertly without intimating to the parliament.\u00a0 The Bill relating establishment of an office to identify the missing persons was later approved by the parliament.\u00a0 Through this bill it will become possible to establish a judiciary commission on missing persons that can function as a factory of making charges against the war heroes and that can act over riding the \u2018witness ordinance act\u2019.<\/p>\n

MPs have also been blind folded<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Prime Minister has tabled in parliament on 77th<\/sup> March 2017 the bill to adopt and empower \u2018the international convention on protection of people from making them missing\u2019 under the Laws of this country.<\/p>\n

Here also the Sirisena-Ranil Junta misled the MPs.\u00a0 When the Prime Minister submitted this proposed Bill for first reading he should have submitted copies of the relevant international convention in Sinhala, Tamil and English.\u00a0 But this bandit government did not do that. We must scrutinize how this international convention would affect the sovereignty, the people and the war heroes of this country.\u00a0 But without providing copies of this international convention to the members of parliament, this government is trying to mislead the MPs and the nation.<\/p>\n

The international convention Bill being introduced on the sly<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 5th<\/sup> of April 2017 I wrote to the speaker that along with the Bill to adopt an international convention to the Laws of this country that would endanger the whole nation, Sinhala, Tamil and English copies of the relevant international convention have not been provided to the MPs and asked him to provide the relevant copies.\u00a0 The speaker was also not aware about it until I informed him this matter.<\/p>\n

Now let us look at why this Bill related to the international convention is being attempted to adopt on the sly?\u00a0 If this Bill was adopted all war heroes including the Commander in Chief responsible for the war victory will confront a great danger. The adoption of the Bill will make it possible for anyone to file a case against our war heroes in a foreign country in which this international convention prevail as a Law of that country.\u00a0 For instance an individual of the Tamil diaspora can file a case in Canada, Germany, France or any other European country against one of our war heroes saying that he was responsible for making missing the Sinhala tiger terrorist Ekneligoda who pretended as a media personnel. At the same time the country in which the case has been filed will get the right to request the Sri Lankan government to handover to them the concerned war hero and in return the Sri Lanka government will become obligated to deport the concerned person.\u00a0 It is very clear that this Bill has been brought to make a foreign country to hold trials against our war heroes and send them to gallows if it is not possible to get it done here.\u00a0 Not only that under this convention it becomes possible to indict the commander in chief or a higher authority of the forces as responsible for giving the command to make the relevant person missing. Therefore we should not allow to get this new Bill adopted in the parliament.\u00a0 The public should emphatically urge the members of parliament they have elected to oppose this Bill and not to vote in favour of it.<\/p>\n

At the same time we urge the Sirisena-Ranil Junta to immediately stop this day light betrayal and sacrifice of our War Heroes. (niz)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
