Wijesinha\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dengue virus is spread mostly by mosquitoes from the Aedes genus.<\/p>\n<p>The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the main vector that transmits the viruses that cause dengue.<\/p>\n<p>The viruses are passed on to humans through the bites of an infective female Aedes mosquito, which mainly acquires the virus while feeding on the blood of an infected person.<\/p>\n<p>This mosquito lays her eggs on the sides of anything with water and the eggs hatch into larvae.<\/p>\n<p>A larva changes into a pupa in about a week and into a mosquito in two days.<\/p>\n<p>The Ganges-Delta (also known as the Bengal Delta) is a river delta in the Bengal region of the South Asia, consisting of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the world&#8217;s largest delta, and empties into the Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n<p>This Delta is among the most fertile regions in the world. Along the coast the width of the delta is approximately 350 km.<\/p>\n<p>The aborigines of this region were famous for their Ayurveda which could decipher any epidemic issue.<\/p>\n<p>According to this, OLA Manuscript findings; these aborigines used SAFFRON mixed in water to spray their yards to kill the pestilence causing mosquitoes and other pests that harmed their crops.<\/p>\n<p>Saffron is supposed to create a firmament when sprayed with water to kill the breading of these pests.<\/p>\n<p>I hope this research of mine\u00a0will put an end to the dengue epidemic in SRI LANKA and its subcontinents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By, Professor Nishan C.
