Some of the biological mothers were apparently told their children had died at birth.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive width100pst wp-post-image\" src=\"http:\/\/cphpost.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Virgin-630x390-2-630x390.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/cphpost.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Virgin-630x390-2-630x390.png 630w, http:\/\/cphpost.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Virgin-630x390-2-825x510.png 825w\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"390\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"col-lg-3 col-md-3 col-sm-6\"><\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<p>Some 4,000 of the children ended up in the Netherlands, while others were sent to other European countries, such as Denmark, Sweden, Germany and the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The Sri Lankan government has told Zembla, the Dutch company behind the documentary, that it will look into the allegations, as will the Dutch authorities.
