Much has been said and written about the shameful\u00a0 behavior of our politicians in the parliament. It was shocking that even \u00a0the usually well behaved gentleman Prime minister too stooping to the degrading act of shouting slogans in the highest echelon of our nation. Such a shame! Is it a case of those \u00a0living \u00a0with \u00a0dung-beetles \u00a0ending up in dung?<\/p>\n

This has been going on for ages. But is anything going to be done about it? Why is it so difficult to impart \u00a0some common sense into the thick skulls \u00a0of a few thugs called members of parliament \u00a0by our whole nation? They are not only setting bad example to the others in the nation, specially the children, but now, with everything being aired world over, they are utterly shaming our country’s image as a whole.<\/p>\n

Yet, we the citizens too, watch, aghast, but don’t do anything to stop it. Surely it is not impossible to pass a ruling in the parliament that if anyone behaves in unbecoming way that they should be expelled by the speaker? According to the Wikipedia “The Speaker presides over the House’s debates, determining which members may speak. The Speaker is also responsible for maintaining order during debate, and may punish members who break the rules of the House”.<\/p>\n

So Mr. speaker, why aren’t\u00a0 you doing your duty? Are you afraid to abide by the rules of the country and exert your authority?\u00a0If you cannot do your duty you must resign and leave the way for a stronger personality to take over.\u00a0 It is much more disgusting to watch the impotent speaker doing nothing, but \u00a0looking on helplessly than watching \u00a0the despicable behavior of the politicians. And to think that\u00a0absolutely not a single \u00a0person in that shameful crowd who \u00a0has the guts to speak up stop the hooliganism. The decent citizens feel the shame \u00a0in the pit of their stomach that these are the so called rulers and law makers of our blessed country.\u00a0 Thumping the tables, shouting while another is speaking and gathering in the well of the house, getting into fisticuffs \u2013 even a fish market is more respectable than this motely \u00a0crowd.<\/p>\n

Is there any lower level \u00a0than this our so called leaders \u00a0can stoop to? I doubt.<\/p>\n
