Dehiamga and Nellogolla handled\u00a0 an excellent program to look after the welfare of the needy. The members of the Sangha , Ven Ganegoda Sri Jinalankara, Wartrukumbure Dhammartana theros played an examamplery roles in establishing links with the Islamic institutions by opening the doors of compassion . Nayaka theros of main Buddhist institutions made public appeals for peace and harmony among all.<\/p>\n<p>It has to be accepted that the fringe groups of both ethnicities worked extra hard to cause the tensions before and during the troubled times.
