{"id":86853,"date":"2019-03-31T14:27:47","date_gmt":"2019-03-31T21:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/?p=86853"},"modified":"2019-03-31T14:27:47","modified_gmt":"2019-03-31T21:27:47","slug":"oman-oil-considers-up-to-30-stake-in-sri-lankan-refinery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/2019\/03\/31\/oman-oil-considers-up-to-30-stake-in-sri-lankan-refinery\/","title":{"rendered":"OMAN OIL CONSIDERS UP TO 30% STAKE IN SRI LANKAN REFINERY"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Muscat Daily staff writer<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>\n\nMUSCAT&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarifying Oman\u2019s intention to invest and participate in a large oil refinery project in Sri Lanka, H E Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al Rumhi, Minister of Oil and Gas has said that Oman Oil Company is considering the feasibility of participation in the Sril Lankan project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement to Oman News Agency H E Rumhi said the sultanate, represented by Oman Oil Company, is currently considering the feasibility of participation of up to 30 per cent share of this oil refinery project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri Lanka last week began construction of a nearly US$3.85bn oil refinery, which it hopes will revive foreign interest in its shipping facilities.
