Dear Sir,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am presently living\nabroad but I am a man from a small village in Sri Lanka. Sir it is we the\nvillagers who feel more for our country to the extent to  even shed tears in secret when we are unable\nto put right the wrongs that are being done to our country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have read you are\nalso from  a village Mahamukalaanayaaya\nin Bogamuwa. That means you are a real son of the soil and must have seen youths\nfrom your village also joining the Armed Forces to fight the ruthless terrorism\nthat we had thought for a long time was an invincible force. Many of those  Sinhala Buddhist village youth whowent to\ndefend our country, came back in coffins, while some had gone missing, and\nothers have escaped after sacrificing \ntheir limbs  in the terrorist war.\nIt was in their heroism that our country was saved and we live tody in peace\nand security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we pay only lip\nservice to these war heroes who  are our\nown children. This is while those who should take responsibility for deaths,\ndisappearances and mutilation are today demanding that our war heroes be taken\nbefore International Criminal Courts. \nThis had been going on ever since the elimination of terrorists and even\nthe International Community treats our war heroes as their war criminals and\nthe terrorists as their heroes.  This has\nto end without  our Government treat the\nterrorists and who aided abetted \nthem  with soft gloves, while  our war heroes are being sacrificed for a\nseemingly unachievable reconciliation with the Tamils- specially the TNA Tamils\npoliticians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The  TNA which keeps calling to take revenge from\nthe Sri Lanka Armed Forces for the elimination of the terrorists,\ndisappearances, violation of human rights, was a part of the terrorist equip\nterrorising the people  along side\nPrabhakaran.   In English Law it is said that you cannot go\nto court with blood on your hands. Therefore \nneither the TNA no the Tamils of the diaspora who financed the  terrorism purchasing arms and equipment for\nthem  terrorists cannot now  accuse the armed forces for war crimes when\nthey were a part of the terrorists aiding     and\nabetting the terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2001 the LTTE\nduring the heights of its ruthless terror against the people, wanted a political\narm  to defend and be their spokes persons\nin the Parliament and outside the terrorists controlled areas.  Terrorist leader Prabhakaran selected the\npresent set of TNA Parliamentarians. They set up an alliance along with Tamil\nPolitical parties such as  ACTC (All Ceylon Tamil Congress), the EPRLF (Eelam\nPeople\u2019s Revolutionary Liberation Front), TELO (Tamil Eelam Liberation\nOrganization), TULF (Tamil United Liberation Front). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thereafter  TNA under Sampanthan of ITAK declared that\nthe  LTTE is the sole representative of\nthe Tamil people, Ananda Sangaree of TULF who disagreed  left the Alliance and TNA became the political arm of\nthe terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 -for details of the involvement of TNA\nwith  terrorism since 2001 to date even\nafter the elimination of terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After elimination of\nterrorism in May,2009,  the then\nGovernment of \u00a8President Mahinda Rajapakse should have disbanded the TNA but\nfor whatever reason  it had not been done\nand we are today suffering the consequence of that failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Sir, since 2001\nTNA which  had been involved with the\nterrorists and terrorism never raised a voice against  the savagery of the terrorists and their\nmassacres of innocent villagers, passengers of busses and trains and mass\nkillings by placing claymore bombs in markets and public places, and\nassassination of many political figures and officers of the Armed Forces and\nthe Police.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their silence\nthrough out the period of terrorism the TNA and its members were aiding and\nabetting terrorists in those massacres, assassinations, without directly\nparticipating in  the bloody savagery of\nthe terrorists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even today the TNA\nParliamentarians continue in terrorising the \nnewly settled Sinhala people in the villages calling for their identity\ncads and property Deeds. Recently  a\ngroup of Tamils  supported by some TNA\npoliticians occupied the Mulathiu Nayaru Khandha Ancient Buddhist temple on the\nPongal Day , threatened the resident monk Venerable Kolamba  Medalankara Kiththi Nayaka thero, and even\ndug a foundation for a Kovil in the temple premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though\nno killing had been done this too amounts to a terrorist activity, to\nfrighten  persons and make them leave the\narea in fear  for life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These\nTNA politicians continue to criticise and condemn Sri Lanka in international\nforums and contact foreign countries \ncomplaining about imagined discriminations against the Tamils by the\nGovernment calling for their assistance to \nwin  separate rights and\npriviledes to the Tamil people and to cooperate \nwith them for the setting up of a separate Tamil only Province in the\nNorth and East. Their statements against the Government are in breach of the\nConstitution and amounts to criminal defamation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite\nthese activities which are  in\ncontravention of the Constitution, the law is not being applied against the TNA\nParliamentarians. They are not even been called to the Police Stations and\nwarned against making such statements.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most\noften when questioned as to why the TNA Parliamentarians are not taken to\ncustody when they make seditious and libellous statements, authorities\ncite  an on going reconciliation, and state\nthat the law is kept silent not to hamper \nthe reconciliation process. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nreconciliation is not a one sided activity. If TNA wants the other communities\nof Sri Lanka\nto reconcile with the Tamil Community they should reciprocate these acts of\nreconciliation by he Government. But so far they   continue to make more demands without making\nany advance towards reconciliation with the Sinhala. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nTamil people are kept silent by threat, and made to follow the TNA through fear\nof them and fear of retaliation. If the Law is applied to the TNA politicians\nand make them understand that they are not outside the law of the country, the\nordinary Tamil people will trust in  law\nand order and act freely without blindly following the TNA MPs  through fear and for favour.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One Mr.Jayantha\nLiyanage of  Sinhala Mahasabha once filed\nan FR action against the TNA, but the courts advised that as there was a move\nfor reconciliation with Tamils   it is good that the legal action is not taken\nagainst them for the moment. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\nthis is not correct any more as the law should be applied when it is broken or\nin the process of being broken. What is the use of a police force Sir, if you\nare absent in the North and allow the TNA politicians go free despite their\ncriminal  activities that hamper peace\nsecurity and freedom of the people.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TNA Parliamentarians\nShritharan\u2019s  recent statement that\nGotabhaya Rajapakse had killed over 140,000 Tamils  which is false and therefore a statement of\ncriminal defamation.  It is not  acceptable that he is allowed to go free after\nmaking such seditious statements. He should be called to the Police Station and\nwarned not to make such false accusations which makes him liable for criminal\nprosecution. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\nis no reconciliation in  the police\nallowing these TNA Parliamentarians to break the law, and still go free.  The Police should call Shritharan to the\npolice station  to warn  him about making such statements of criminal\ndefamation, and warn him against making such statements in future.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do\nnot intend to write more as you may already be aware of these unlawful activities\nand pronouncements of the TNA Parliamentarians. They are citizens of Sri Lanka and\nthe laws of the country should be applied to them as well, no matter whether\nthere is an ongoing reconciliation process.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a\nmember of the Public I implore you not to be a onlooker of breach of law and\norder by the TNA Parliamentarians,  and\nrequest you to intervene to make them understand that they  too should respect the law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
