I read the\ngloating comment in the Tamil Guardian <\/em><\/strong>that the Canadian City of Brampton recognises May 18\nas Tamil Genocide Remembrance Day\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also\nnotice that the day happens to be the day before when the the most ruthless\nterrorists in the world, the Tamil Tigers, were annihilated  when their leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was\nshot dead on the sands of the Nandikadal lagoon in the east coast of my\nbeautiful homeland, Sri Lanka, on 19 May, 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I\nunderstand why it is said that a There’s\na Sucker born every minute.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must be\nwondering whether I am insinuating that you are such a Sucker\u2019.   You know what, Mayor Bown? Your guess is\nconvincing and right.  Yes, I do.  Not only, you, but every Councillor of  Brampton\u2019s City Council who voted to pass\nthis  Tamil genocide\u201d<\/strong> motion unanimously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Patrick Brown, your Brampton\nCouncil\u2019s  statement said – Brampton\nCouncil passed unanimously the following motion in recognition of the 10 year\nanniversary of the Tamil genocide.  We\nwill never forget the horror of Mullivaikkal\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me be\nfrank with you Mayor Brown, my heart bleeds with anger, and my eyes are\ncartwheeling spitting dragon breath at all of you at Brampton City Council for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

not\nrecognizing and for never forgetting the horrors\u201d <\/em><\/strong>that your Tamil Tiger pets<\/p>\n\n\n\n

dished out\nto my Sinhalese people, Buddhists and Christians alike, back at home, in Sri\nLanka.  They performed this horror for\n27-blooding years by massacring them with exploding claymore mines, shooting\nwith Kalashnikov bullets, by chopping them with machetes as if they were\ncarcasses of cattle in a butcher\u2019s shop, and truck bombing tall buildings in\nthe heart of Colombo like the Central Bank Building which  they did on 31 January, 1996, killing 86 and\ninjuring 1338; like the Kebitigollawa Bus massacre on 15 June 2006 by your pet\nTamil Tigers, killing 64 unarmed \ncivilians <\/p>\n\n\n\n

including\nchildren and Buddhist monks, and injuring 39 others;  like the Aranthalawa massacre of novice\nBuddhist monks, 33 of them together with their mentor at Aranthalawa on 2 June,\n1987.  They were on a pilgrimage to an\nancient Buddhist temple in Kelaniya in a bus which was ambushed by your pet\nTamil Tigers, stormed the bus, some novice monks were shot dead at point blank\nrange and others were hacked to death and chopped and mutilated with machetes;\nlike shooting and killing 120 Buddhist devotees (I am a Sinhalese Buddhist) by\nyour pet Tamil Tigers. The devotees were meditating under the sacred Bodhi tree\nin the sacred city of Anuradhapura and injuring 85 others on 14  May 1985, during the Buddhist Vesak\ncelebrations,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suppose I\nam too harsh on you lot at the Brampton City Council, as such  recognition of certain days of the calendar\nby the Council, could only be considered if there is an application requesting\nfor the recognition of such a Remembrance Day by a particular Brampton\ncommunity.   Since there are many reasons\nfor such a solemn Remembrance Day wanting by Sinhalese-Canadians in Brampton, I\nhope that if and when the Sinhalese-Sri Lankan -Canadians in your fair City\nmake such a request, I hope as a peace offering that you and your Councillors\nwill pass such a motion proposed and seconded by two of your Councillors and\nvoted to adopt it unanimously.  That is\nkosher and that is the way to go.  And\nremember that, they too have a vote like the Bramptonian-Tamils when Provincial\nelections come along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My anger is\nvisceral Mayor Brown for not recognizing the above massacres and killings of\nthe Sinhalese by your  serial killer\nTamil Tiger terrorist pets,  as if those\nkilled and injured by them were not children of your same God as of those\nTamils you have recognized who you say were killed by Sri Lankan Forces, and\nyou all labeled it as Genocide.\u201d?<\/strong>  I say Pox to you and your councillors for\nthat callous, insensitive, hurtful aberration of my Sinhalese people.  Give me a break Mayor Brown and ask your\nCouncillors to give a break too without being such insensitive fools.   You all had a  choice. You all could have rightfully\nrejected such a request as it borders on \u2018political controversy\u2019, and straining\nthe harmony between the Tamils and Sinhalese communities in Brampton. You as\nthe Mayor of Brampton and your Councillors are guilty of that collective\npolitical vote buying selfish mischief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am\nincensed that you have difficulty to recognize that, with the killing of Velupillai\nPrabhakaran, the leader of your Tamil Tiger pets and annihilating these\nruthless terrorists by the Sri Lankan armed forces, that the Sri Lankan armed\nforces did an amazing International Human Rights prized justice and keeping\nHuman Rights alive and well. They gave back to 21 million Sri Lankan peoples\ntheir right-to-life <\/strong>which was\nhijacked by Prabhakaran and his Tigers for 27-bloodying years, which takes\nprecedence to everything else in the menu of Human Rights.  How come that you all were acting like a\nbunch of  bleeding-heart jerks? So, Mayor\nBrown, I see that you have joined the yellow belly-aching  Tamil separatists in your City. You are\nsinging the harmony of their Chorus: We got one more Canadian Sucker in our net,\na vote hungry clown, it\u2019s Brampton\u2019s Patrick Brown.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>That is the rub\nMayor and that is just too bad. And that is how the  Political Bleeding-heart Cookies crumble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You know\nwhat Mayor Brown, with that Sri\nLanka\u2019s Tamil Genocide\u201d proclamation, <\/strong>my crystal ball reading says, there\nwill be a day in a fews years down the road the relentless supporter of the\nmythical Tamil Eelam carved out of Sri Lanka\u2019s North, Mayor Patrick Brown of Brampton will christen that fair city as\n\u2018Brampeelam\u2019, when the majority of the p\u00f4pulation of the City of Brampton will\nbe of Tamils of Sri Lanka. That will be the aggressive demand by your Tamil\ncommunity.  Want to wage a bet on it,\nMayor Brown!  Write my Crystal Ball\nprediction on a piece of paper and bury it in a time-capsule<\/em> to be opened in 25 years, in the year 2045.  Bury the time-capsule<\/em>\nunder the Council Chamber Speaker\u2019s Chair. \nAnd the Speaker will declare every Council session welcoming the\nCouncillors with the greeting Wannakkam.\u201d\n<\/em>You bet!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know Mayor\nBrown that you have been going after the Sri Lankan Government relentlessly for\ntheir wanting to annihilate the Tamil Tiger terrorists that you had adopted as\nyour pets and giving them cover in the Canadian parliament when you were the MP\nfor Barrie.  And as you may remember I\ndidn\u2019t let you get away that easily by following your footsteps when you were\ntrying to squish my Sinhalese clan under your Conservative jackboot, calling\nyou a damn Big HUMBUG\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Brown,\non December 6th, 2012, I wrote you as a response to your \u2018Press Release on Sri Lanka human\nrights violations\u2019<\/em><\/strong>, when you were still the Conservative MP for Barrie,\nOntario:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was an amazing\nessay based on lies and misinformation. \nYou have right through your career as an MP have shot your poison darts\nat Sri Lanka supporting the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Tamil Diaspora.  Fair enough Patrick, as I don\u2019t expect\nanything different from you as you seem to have a lot of separatist-Tamils as\nfriends in the GTA.  And also notice that\nyou have twinned with the NDP Tamil MP for Scarborough-Rouge River, Rathika\nSitsabaiesan, helping her to peddle the Channel 4, anti- Sri Lanka video\nKilling Fields\u201d, with AI\u2019s John Argue not far behind you two like a pathetic\npuppy, but  you never showed the video\nLies Agreed Upon\u201d that debunks the Channel 4\u2019s Killing Fields\u201d.  And that tells much about your dis-affection\nfor Sri Lanka and hiding the truth.  And\nI don\u2019t like it as I am originally from Sri Lanka, and a good Sinhalese to boot\nand who is passionate about my Motherland, Sri Lanka, and will not allow\nanyone, MP or no MP,  hurt my Motherland\nunfairly. Period.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was\nreported that you said, Mr. Brown is also greatly concerned over\nreports of attacks, continued harassments and detention of Jaffna student\nleaders.  He calls upon the Sri Lankan\nauthorities to exercise restraint, to respect peaceful demonstrations and\nrelease the students immediately.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a\nresponse on 6 December 2012, I wrote you, No you don\u2019t release student leaders\nimmediately\u201d who are suspected to have thrown a petrol bomb into the office of\nthe Tamil Eelam Liberation Organization (TELO) around 3:30 A.M. on November 29,\nwhich is situated near the University campus. \nYou cannot expect the Government let loose the students without\ninterrogating to find out their motives and what they were expecting to do in\nthe future.  That is normal practice\nbefore their actions get out of hand and force the Sri Lankan Government to\ntake more drastic measures.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patrick,\njust in case you missed in today’s (6 December) The Ottawa Citizen<\/em><\/strong> on\npage 2 has this news item. Quebec student protester sentenced, but\nsays it’s not over.  A prominent figure\nin Quebec’s student protest movement has been sentenced to 120 hours of\ncommunity service for a contempt of court conviction following the rowdy events\nof the so called Maple Spring\u201d.  <\/em><\/strong>This\nguy didn\u2019t even throw a petrol bomb like the Tamil student did in Jaffna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well , Patrick, that\nis how your Canada deals with students violent protests and not releasing them\nimmediately\u201d.  It is no different from\nSri Lanka.  So let\u2019s cut out your\npretentious, I am Patrick Bown, the Conservative MP for Barrie, and I say, \u2018We\nare Holier Than Thou\u2019, so do what I say.\u201d \n<\/em><\/strong>That\u2019s a\nlot of obnoxious poppycock, Patrick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wrote you\non October 17, 2009  \u2026..  Patrick, I just heard you on Youtube whining\nabout the Sri Lankan Government refusing to give you and your Conservative\ncolleague Paul Calandra (Oak Ridges-Markham) visas to visit IDP Camps in the\nNorth of Sri Lanka.  You were spitting\nDragon breath all over the Sri Lankan Government. Nasty! Nasty!!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question that I\nwould ask you is, Who the heck do you think you are Patrick.  Why should the Sri Lankan Government issue\nyou a visa anyway? After all you are not projecting a clout saying that you are\na Cabinet Minister when the Canadian Government had already rejected visas for\nfive Sri Lankan Ministers, like the Tamil Cabinet Minister Douglas Devananda\nfrom the North.  I hope you heard the\ndiplomatic jargon, which is part of their working manual lexicon\nreciprocity\u201d   The Government of Sri\nLanka would be within their rights to say Touche\u201d to you MP Patrick Brown and  MP Paul Calandra.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 3rd,\n2010, I wrote you with a heading  Patrick Brown: Tamils are law abiding\u201d he\nsays.  What nonsense! <\/strong> (You were the Conservative MP for Barrie\nthen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your Government of\nCanada\u2019s message on behalf of Prime Minister Stephen Harper to the Tamil\ncommunity in Canada down right pissed off\u201d this card carrying\nConservative.  You may wonder\nwhy?………<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That message not only\ninsulted me, but also all other law abiding\u201d Canadians and insulted and\ntarnished some good hard working Tamils whose main thrust is to be law\nabiding\u201d citizens, living by the law of their adopted country, and bring up\ntheir young families contributing intellectually and financially to the wealth\nof our great nation that gave them a home\u2026\u2026.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Patrick, you are\ntoo young at 32 to suffer from Alzheimer’s which also brings memory loss.  The Tamils are \u2018law abiding\u2019 you said.  That’s a load of crap Patrick.  There are 10,000 hard core Tamil Tiger\nterrorists roaming our streets and some of them were from the Ocean Lady\u201d that\nlanded on the shores of Vancouver last October, and the Immigration Department\nlet them loose\u2026..<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember how the\n10-thousand gutless Tamils who were cowards to use kids on strollers, and\nseniors as shields to protest closing the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto which\nno other community in Canada had ever done. \nThat was no law-abiding\u201d citizenry, are they now, Patrick.  That message was a load of codswallop\ninsulting every other law-abiding citizen in this country, and you have a\nmemory loss, haven’t you Patrick?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

S<\/em>o with all this poppycock that you are trying to\nconvince us that there was Genocide <\/strong>of\nthe Tamils in Sri Lanka.  Really!  Tell me Mayor Brown, were you hallucinating\nwhen you decided to recognize May 18 as Tamil\nGenocide Remembrance Day\u201d<\/strong> in Brampton. \nWhat Genocide,<\/strong> may I ask you\nMayor Brown?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the Lying Liberals  5 – <\/strong>Robert Oliphant, Jim Karygiannis,\nDerek Lee, Judy Sgro and Albina Guarnieri, announced that there was \u2018Genocide\u2019<\/strong> in Sri Lanka during the last\nfive months of the 360 month Eelam War, when challenged as I have just done\nwith you, they had no answers and they choked. \nThis was during the famous Emergency Debate on Sri Lanka in the\nParliament\u2019s Chamber on February 4, 2009, which I christened as the  Canada\nParliament\u2019s Tamil Tiger Blarney Gong-Show.\u201d <\/strong> Every time a parliamentarian stood up and\ndenounced the Sri Lankan Government, he or she would look up at the Gallery\nwhere Tamils were sardine packed to get a reaction.  More or less asking the Tamils, You saw me spitting at the Sri Lanka\nGovernment, now give me your vote.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s get\nthis right once and for all Mayor Brown. \nSo the Canadian City of Brampton recognizes May 18 as Tamil Genocide\nRemembrance Day\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s where\nyou and your Councillors fall flat on your faces.  None of the 295,873 Tamil refugees who were\nmarched from the west coast to the east coast for 30 harrowing months,  like unwashed cattle under a scorching\nJaffna-Killinochchi sun, as a Human Shield by the Tamil Tigers,  complained that they were forced by the Sri\nLankan Forces to fall on their knees and claw the kabook earth to dig deep\ntrenches to bury the alleged 40,000 killed Tamil bodies;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*No one\ncomplained that there were 10 backhoes digging trenches feverishly day and\nnight to to bury the 40,000 killed Tamil bodies;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*No one, not\neven Amnesty\nInternational,  Human Rights Watch nor\nRed Cross<\/em><\/strong> ,  complained that\nthere were nasty, smelly black plumes of smoke snaking towards heaven, from\nburning tyres used to burn the dead Tamil bodies killed by the Sri Lankan\nForces;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*No one\nalong the east coast of Tamil Nadu reported that there were 100s and 100sl of\nTamil dead bodies that were washed ashore presumably dumped mid-sea by the Sri\nLankan Navy speed boats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then where\nthe hell did you think they hid 40,000 dead bodies, Mayor Brown.  Let\u2019s have an answer.  Let\u2019s have the end product without\nparroting  the vindictive comments by\nTamil separatists and sympathiszers. \nCertainly not what the UN says, which we are told is a\ncesspool of political bias.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you know\nwhat Mayor Brown, in every war statistics, the injured are twice the number of\nthose who were killed.  My 2nd Grade\nsimple arithmetic says, if that is the case, what the heck happened to the\n80,000 Tamils who were injured.  Did the\nRed Cross find that the numbers were too large to handle,  and let the wounded die on either side of the\nwar theatre.  Shame! Not being able to\nprovide 160,000 crutches to the Injured to hobble away from harm’s way, the\nbleeding-hearts let them die in the open and rot away under the hot tropical\nsun.  Shame on you bleeding hearts!  Aren\u2019t you and your Brampton Councillors,\nbleeding hearts not concerned about the 80,000 injured.  Don\u2019t you want to find out what happened to\nthe 80,000 wounded  Tamils.,  No one seems to be concerned about them.  Where were the voices of Ban Ki-Moon, Navi\nPillay. Darusman, Ratne and Sooka.  Am I\nto accept that they are all a bunch of Sri Lanka hating bullies    No wonder, I have come to the conclusion\nthat all these characters are a bunch of bullies and insensitive Humbugs.  Give me a break, Mayor Brown.  I want answers. I charge you and your Council\nof ethnic bias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting back\nto Brampton City Council voting unanimously to declare May 18 as Tamil Genocide\nRemembrance day,   I read the Thank You\nnote by TGTE to Mayor Brown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said Recognize that these crimes against the\nTamil Nation in Sri Lanka constitute a genocide\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\n(AW) differ in that provocative thought. \nTamils do not have a\u201dTamil Nation in Sri Lanka\u201d  Tamils of Sri Lanka most certainly have their\nnation in Tamil Nadu, just 18  salt-sea\nmiles away in Tamil Nadu, where 82,08 million of their kith and kin live.  Tamil Nadu is where they came from.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If\nthere indeed is a Tamil nation, I wonder why 54% of the Tamil population live\nin the south of the island away from their mythical Tamil Nation.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nwonder why their -lingams, Sothylingam, Suntharalingam, Rasalingam,  Arasalingam, \nJothilingam, Sivalingam and Dharmalingam, all want to live in\nColombo.  I suppose their mythical \u2018Tamil\nNation\u2019 up in the north doesn’t excite them \nat all.  That is strange isn\u2019t\nit.   <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The motion\nsays –    WHEREAS,\nThe Tamil Genocide began with the arrest, exile, and murder of thousands of\nTamil intellectuals, and political, religious leaders and\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\n(AW) differ as all that was a crotch full of codswallop.  No Tamil was exiled.  That riot in July 1983, was a God\u2019s send for\nthe Tamils when all the floodgates of the west were opened for them.  Let us get this right Mayor Brown.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\nwas luck of the draw. Anyone who could afford to buy an airplane ticket took\noff to a western country, thumbing their noses at their Motherland, India.  They got into the plane with a legitimate\npassport and when they landed, it was a case of using the magic words\nA-B-R-A-C-A-D-A-B-R-A and  swaying\nthe  magic wand over the passport and it\ndisappeared and when they landed there were no official document and they\napplied for refugee status.  They were\nlucky as 85% of the Tamils who landed didn’t have a snowball chance in hell to\nget into Canada if they had applied to immigrate on the point system.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But,\nhere is what is interesting Mayor Brown. \nAll these Tamil Convention refugees who by right shouldn\u2019t be returning\nto the country  they ran away  from because \nof persecution,  but all who saved\nenough Canadian dollars to buy a return ticket to Sri Lanka, by every October,\nNovember and December find that their parents were dying of cancer  and go to the Sri Lanka High Commission in\nOttawa, with a telegram from home saying, Father or Mother dying of cancer,\ncome home immediately\u201d wanting a travel document to go home.  What is interesting is that it is only the\nTamil parents die from Cancer during the holiday months of  October, November and December, and praise\nthe Lord, the Sinhalese, Muslim and Burgher parents are lucky not to be victims\nto cancer in October, November  and\nDecember every year.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Kaihla, Senior Writer\nfor<\/strong>  Maclean\u2019s (April 29, 1996) says, According to\nConsular Section of the Sri Lanka High Commission, more than 8,600 Sri Lankans\nwith refugee claims pending in Canada applied for travel documents to visit Sri\nLanka in 1992.  The following year was\n5,865.   If those refugee claimants\nfeared persecution in their homeland, why were they eager to return.\u201d   <\/em><\/strong> Go\nfigure that one out Mayor Brown.  Ha!\nConvention Refugees, my foot.  What a\nfarce<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The motion says –\nWHEREAS, the regime in control of Sri Lanka planned and executed the\nunspeakable atrocities committed against the Tamil people from 1958 through\n2009 which included the torture, starvation and murder of more than 100,000\nTamils;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\n(AW) differ from all these charges and I tell the writer that it is all heinous\ncrap.  If he\/she is counting the Tamils\nwho are missing from the North and East, you may find them in Canada, UK, US,\nNorway, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia.  And if you are good at counting  from 1 to 50,000, you could find them in\nthose countries and others.  All gone as\nrefugees.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\nleast half of 100,000 are the Sinhalese that your Tamil Tigers murdered,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

massacred\nand chopped to death, like the Dollar and Kent Farm massacres (30 November\n1984);  Sacred City of Anuradhapura\nmassacres (14 May, 1985); bomb blast at Central Telegraph Office in Colombo (7\nMay 1986); Kithuluthua Bus attack (17 April 1987); Aranthalawa massacre (2 June\n1987); Kattankudy Muslim Mosque massacre (3 August 1990); Dehiwala Train\nMassacre (24 July 1996);  Massacre of\nIrrigation Workers in Welikanda (29 May 2006); Seenigama Bus Blast (6 January\n2007).  <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One would have expected that\nthe 295,873 Tamil refugees who were used as a Human Shield for 30 months by the\nTamil Tigers and rescued from the clutches of the Tamil Tigers  by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces would have\nbeen easy fodder for an act of Genocide.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, absolutely, nothing of\nsuch killings by the armed forces happened. \nNo doubt you and your Councillors may be surprised.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEREAS you as the\nMayor of Brampton, Ontario, who with your Councillors voted unanimously to\ndeclare 18 May, 2019,  as the Tamil\nGenocide Remembrance Day\u201d,  I, Asoka\nWeerasinghe of Ottawa,  challenge you for\na<\/em><\/strong> debate, that your premise is a lie, as that Tamil\nGenocide in Sri Lanka never took place.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The venue to be at the Brampton City\nHall Chamber, the day and time to be specified by you.  The  Moderator of the Debate to be mutually agreed\nupon by us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEREAS, if Patrick Brown, Mayor of\nBrampton needs an incentive for this<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

debate, I, Asoka Weerasinghe of\nOttawa is agreeable to provide 30 seconds after the debate for all the Brampton\nCity Councillors to stand 20 feet in front of me to pelt me with rotten eggs\nand tomatoes, accompanied by a chorus of Boos\u201d from your Bramptonian\nseparatist Tamil friends.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
