Soon things will be seemingly returning to normalcy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or another national disaster or an issue of national importance\nwill make a fresh wave galvanizing us with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tragedies happened so far will be put under the carpet by\nomission or commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politicians of various hue will promise to do things which will\nall turn out to be of little importance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the few steps this yahapalanaya so far has taken like banning\nface veil will be just a window dressing until the emergency rules prevail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the illegal sterilization story,Prof H.Senanayake,\nHead of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of Colombo Faculty of Medicine has said the\nsterilization story is unlikely and  lamented this could make a huge\nnegative impact on Sri Lanka\u2019s achievements in maternal care and health which\nhas been globally admired so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There comes the cat out of the bag, not only politicians but the\nmedical fraternity would like to close this case as soon as possible to\nmaintain their own good names rather than getting the truth out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore we should not depend on the politicians or the medical\nprofession to declare their biased reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LRT programme run by the DOH to sterilize the women in the\ngovernment hospitals should be abolished immediately as only\nSinhala women <\/em>seem to get this done. The DOH should release the\nstatistics of the number of LRTs done so far on Sinhalese,Tamils & Muslims.\nThe doctors are given an incentive by cash for each LRT they do on women\ntherefore the doctors are keen on  doing these on any woman\nwithout paying attention on whom they do it.The Sinhala Buddhist groups should\ncanvass the DOH to stop the LRT programme as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is only one thing the general public can do to safeguard\nthemselves not to fall victim again to the fundamentalist Jihadists grip. We\ndon’t have to rely on bungling politicians who would sell the country for their\nexistence. We will look after ourselves. We should not ever get fooled by the\nreports of committees who may exonerate the culprits .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is simple and easy on the one hand but absolutely a MUST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never ever a Sinhala woman of child bearing\nage should go to a Muslim doctor, male or female for a\ncaesarean or any gynaecological surgery. Not even for any\n<\/em>abdominal general surgery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it stands even for a simple consultation for a medical\nreason in a family practice may end  in getting medicine harmful to\nfertility. Sinhalese should turn away from their Muslim family doctors\nas they could be smiling assassins with underneath fundamentalist views.\nWe should educate the women in the countryside on this aspect. Just\nBoycott Muslim doctors for our females of child bearing age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where there are no choices like a caesarean or any abdominal\nsurgery by a Muslim doctor in an emergency or in the nights, on a Sinhala\nwoman, the family should subsequently demand to have a test to check the\nfallopian tubes (HSG, they say) after a while from the hospital if cannot\nafford to have it privately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore Sinhala patient should get the habit of inquiring the\ndetails of the surgeon hereafter as a routine. The time to trust the doctors\nhas evaporated now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a lesson that we Sinhalese should learn and adhere to and\nspread country wide to the poor rural mass; not for a year or two or a decade\nbut pass down for whole our generations!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
