It\nis disappointing that all 5 Asian Teams out of 10 Teams in the competition\nfailed to secure a spot in the Final.   Bangladesh and New Zealand\nhave consistently maintained aggressive and  methodical styles of play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\ngive below the historical data of previous finals with the winning team and\nruns scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\nround-robin stage, NZ beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets whereas Sri Lanka beat\nEngland by 20 runs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Judged\nby the clouds of political interference in Sri Lankan Cricket, our boys\nperformances were below par, but not totally disappointing. At least our Sports\nMinister made a trip to England on tax-payers account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our\ncurrent squad should be further developed.
