People have been seen in this\nsituation since 1970. Many individuals or groups &nbsp;demonstrated that they associated with\npolitical parties to gain personal advantages rather than working for the\ncountry. It appears that after the selection of presidential candidates from\npolitical parties those dishonest individuals attempt to publicly express the\nsupports, but the political parties in the power before elections they\nreluctant to express the supports by words of mouth or active work\nsupports.&nbsp; This is a result of democracy\nand the multi-party system in Sri Lanka.&nbsp;\nAccording to historical experience, the behavior of these opportunists\ninterpreted as traitors.&nbsp; King Dutugemunu\nand many other kings in the history recognized traitors and kill them before\ngoing to wars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; The Impartial opinion of many people in Sri Lanka\ndoesn&#8217;t want divisions based on political parties or individuals.&nbsp; Sri Lanka needs unity of all people without\nreligious, racial and party differences.&nbsp;\nThe worse situation is that international politics has associated with\ndifferences to gain advantages. The economic growth of the country has declined\nto less than 2%, which means the economy would not double within the next 35\nyears.&nbsp; This the major issue in the\ncountry all political parties supposed to talk about.&nbsp; Except for Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, no other\ncandidates of political parties are willing to talk about.&nbsp; The other vital issue is the increasing\npopulation more than the rate of growth and the size of the land of the\ncountry.&nbsp; Population associated many\nproblems appear in the country. The major issue is annual revenue would not\nsuffice to gain advantages to people and educated and a skilled young\ngeneration goes overseas to avoid the issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To\nchange this situation, presidential candidates should have a clear vision on\nthe economy, social, religious and cultural areas. Sri Lanka needs\nanti-discrimination laws rather than the division of the country, where needs a\nlaw common all people without differences.&nbsp;\nExcept for Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, no candidates talk about a law of\ncommon to all and anti-discrimination laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People\nof Sri Lanka needs thinking about whether they want a multiparty system to\nmislead people or a strong unity of all political parties to identify, develop\nand implement right policies to the country.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BY EDWARD THEOPHILUS It seems that different opinion was expressed by desperate or discrete individuals and the hidden intention of many of these individuals seem to gain personal advantages after the presidential election.
