{"id":94303,"date":"2019-10-25T20:36:33","date_gmt":"2019-10-26T02:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/?p=94303"},"modified":"2019-10-25T12:46:44","modified_gmt":"2019-10-25T19:46:44","slug":"gotabayas-manifesto-promises-multiple-tax-cuts-removals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/2019\/10\/25\/gotabayas-manifesto-promises-multiple-tax-cuts-removals\/","title":{"rendered":"Gotabaya\u2019s manifesto promises multiple tax cuts &#038; removals"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Courtesy Adaderana<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna\u2019s presidential hopeful Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (25) vowed far-reaching tax removals including Pay As You Earn (PAYE) and Withholding taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was announced at the ceremony held to unveil Gotabaya Rajapaksa\u2019s election manifesto, The Ten Principles of Inclusive Government\u201d, at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre this morning (25).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marking the launch of the manifesto, Gotabaya Rajapaksa presented the proclamation to the religious leaders headed by Maha Sangha and then to Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa. It was then handed over to the state officials and politicians who were present at the event.
