It is\nsaid that this is being done by Indian Consular Offices in Jaffna and\nHambantota<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is clear\ninterference uncalled for on our internal matters and sovereignty by a foreign\ncountry.&nbsp; In this context I suggest the\nGovernment take immediate action not only to stop this interference immediately\nbut also simultaneously close down these two consular Offices forthwith. I also\nsuggest that the Government also take action to close down the Indian assistant\nCommissioners Office in Kandy as well, as it also has ceased to serve the\nobjectives for which it was opened in 1949, as I have pointed out previously as\nwell that there is no point of having so many Indian Embassy offices all over\nthe country, unless India has some subversive design behind it.
