The newly elected president of the Republic of Sri\nLanka has acted with his intellectual decisions with NO partiality or partisan\npolitics in the appointment of executives in the governing team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, the appointment of General Kamal\nGunaratne<\/em><\/strong> was an excellent choice for the position of Defence Secretary\nwhere the General will act with positive innovative and ingenious thoughts for\nthe benefit of the country. The administration (Law & Order) of illicit\ndrugs, narcotics, and caribous, etc responsibility was entrusted to the\nmilitary which is another excellent decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The decision of not portraying\npictures in government offices, but the government emblem is another decision.<\/li>
  2. Stopped foreign travel of\ngovernment officials.<\/li>
  3. Private celebration expenses to\nbe carried by their own finances.<\/li>
  4. Cleaning up of the Western\nProvince immediately and to have a clean WP was a dream of the SLPP government.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Such major decisions taken by the President indicate\nGR\u2019s intellectual, capability, and capacity and proves that Knowledge is\nPower<\/em><\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Expertise + Reliability + Flexibility = Capability<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    GR\u2019s decisions here indicate that His Excellency\npossesses the following qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The initiative<\/em><\/strong> is a\nself-starting quality of a person\/professional. Proactive is an added value to\na self-starter. A person must be a troubleshooter<\/em>\u201d than a trouble\nmaker<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Leadership<\/em><\/strong>: I believe\nthat behavioral<\/em> pattern<\/em> inflicts upon leadership\nquality. Good listening skills and respecting others’ views is a prerequisite\nfor leadership. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Decisive<\/em><\/strong>: Being in an advisory\ncapacity senior civil servant have to make decisions based on their judgment\ncriteria, which, however, should not deter politician\u2019s policy, however, shall\nnot put the country to risk. It is presumed that the president HE GR has\nconsidered all of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Analytical Skills<\/em><\/strong>:  A\nperson has to have high-quality analytical skills to solve problems. Statistical\nand Reliability analysis is required for economic studies. With the military\nbackground HE GR has proved that he has the qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Self-Discipline<\/em><\/strong> is another\ncriterion Civil servants and politicians should possess. Staff should be added\nvalue to the organization not a liability and shall be a role model for the\nyoung ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Addressing the defeat\nof the Tamil politicians (2019): it is indicative that they always cling onto mud-slinging and be on the die-hard,\nprehistoric side of the political arena. For the last 70 years, the reactionary\npolitical parties of the Tamils have been claiming for ethnic solutions. What\nhave they not got? What is meant by ethnic solutions? Tamils are in all the\ndistricts. They were given Provincial administration where they did not act with\nthe authority of developing, however, issuing appointment letters to coolies,\netc. It is better for the Tamil politicians to sit down and think where they\nhave gone wrong. All the old cognitively impaired and the terrorists with\ncriminal thoughts should leave politics and give room for the young University\nintellect students with positive, creative and productive thoughts from the\nUniversity of Jaffna to enter politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Sambanthar +\nSumanthiran + Mavai — Please do not drive Jaffna + Tamils to take the path of\nthe 60s and 61 s like that of the mad Bulls, Amirthalingam, Naganathan, and SJV\nwho drove the country to scarcity. Please co-operate with the government of SL\nand, maybe join SLPP and take a couple of portfolios and develop the country.\nPlease do not be lickers to get jobs for your kith and kin. We have entered a\nnew era with the new leader HE GR + MR to make the country progressive and\nliberal. Please be creative and not destructive and think before you act.\nSumanthiran with his Master in Law degree from a prestigious University\n(Monash) should not defame the University but act according to the standard of\nthe University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Vijayakala Maheswaran should leave politics and go home to maintain\nher home.<\/li>
    • Chandrika should never come back to SL. She has been a poisonous\nworm.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
