Reliable \nintelligence sources indicate that India was blindsided when details of the MCC \nwork plan for Sri Lanka leaked out into the public domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until then \nAlaina Teplitz glibly lied to the public that the MCC money was simply a \u2018Grant\u2019 \nto Sri Lanka, that Sri Lanka did not have to pay back a Cent and that the \nCompact would not affect Sri Lanka\u2019s bank balance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 But, what \nTeplitz did not say, amongst many other things, was that although Sri Lanka did \nnot have to pay back a \u2018Cent\u2019, Sri Lanka had, in lieu of monetary payments, to \naccommodate the US by making available special land Corridors which the US was \ninsisting on, to repeal local land laws and make new land laws  to \nmake all Sri Lankan land available for outright purchase by the US, to replace \nSri Lankan Laws with US laws in all land areas owned by the US, to make the MCC \nthe supreme body (over the Government of Sri Lanka) in making land policy, doing \nland research and disbursing Sri Lankan funds, in contravention of the Sri Lanka \nConstitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 And, Teplitz \nalso did not say that a large sum of the 480 Million USD pledged had already \nbeen spent, paid to US contractors for work that Sri Lanka is required to do \nbefore the Compact is signed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately \nfor Teplitz, MCC\u2019s Steve Dobrilovic unwittingly leaked out, into the public \ndomain, the gist of the MCC Compact, in the form of a work plan made by the \nMCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The MCC work \nplan included the map of Sri Lanka in 2050 and the focus of America\u2019s interest: \nThe Economic Corridor from TCO to CBO, the electrified railway line between \nthese two locations, intervention in Colombo\u2019s transport problem, a specially \noutlined niche (with access to the Bay of Bengal) in the East of the Island \nwhere Zaharan cadres are located, an International Airport in Polonnaruwa and a \nclear pictorial statement that the Ministry of Lands is subordinate to the MCC; \nalso subordinate to the MCC is Sri Lanka\u2019s Ministry of Finance which \nConstitutionally is tasked to manage and control Sri Lanka\u2019s funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Confronted with \nthese documents, the MCC Country Director Edelman went red in the face and was \nnonplussed; she mumbled that Steve had mistakenly given the wrong \nmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The writing on \nthe wall is very clear. The Americans are attempting to take over Sri Lanka in \nline with their pivot to Asia policy and Sri Lanka is key to that policy. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Sri Lanka will \nbe their hub. It would serve as their military, terrorist and narcotic hub which \nwould destabilise the littoral states and shipping in the Bay of \nBengal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 There are \nseveral indicators to substantiate this construct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 In 2017 the US \nmilitary, lingually erased the Indian Ocean and renamed it the Indo-Pacific \nOcean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 In the same \nyear the Pacific Command of the US Army was renamed the Indo-Pacific Command and \nits responsibility was extended beyond the Pacific to the Indian \nOcean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Japan is the \nanchor of US Military strategy in the East. To accommodate the new strategic \nvision of the US, Abe passed legislation in the National Diet that removed the \nrestriction on Japanese military expansion and enabled the Japanese to move \ntheir military into the Indian Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Japan is \nplaying a key role in the MCC plans. To justify Japanese presence in Colombo, \nKarunanayake on instructions from Washington, gridlocked Colombo traffic from 24 \nKPH to 06 KPH. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 With the \nJapanese monorail to give respite to the traffic congestion, artificially \ncreated, the Japanese have justified their access to Colombo and to key \nintersections in the road highway network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The electrified \nrailway from TCO to CBO (given in the MCC Map) is being constructed by the \nJapanese, giving them access to the TCO Harbour as well as to the CBO Harbour. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, \nthe Japanese are attempting to ensure that India walks in lockstep with them, \nselling India much needed submarines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 There are more \nindicators that go to make the drawing on the wall, clearer. The Indo-Pacific \nCommand, with their funds, built seven barracks in areas that included Nintavur, \nSoodaikkudah, Adalachenai and Sainthamaruthu; the barracks could accommodate a \nDivision of US troops in the designated caliphate in the East of the Island. The \ncost of the barracks was one Million USD apiece and were all built, by their \nPakistan contractor, Maqbool Engineering Consultants, under high security \nconditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 These barracks \nare located in the caliphate area of the MCC Map, as are Hizbullah\u2019s Shariya \n\u2018University\u2019 and the Zaharan terrorist stronghold. The US boots on ground would \nhave eyeball supervision of these caliphate terrorists, the TCO harbour and the \nTCO Oil Tanks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 It is \nsignificant that the Caliphate area interfaces the Bay of Bengal and provides \nmaritime access to the Eastern Seaboard of India, to the littoral States in the \nBay and to International shipping traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 There is \ncredible intelligence that the US Embassy in Colombo was predominantly involved \nin the Easter Bomb attacks. Teplitz suggested that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi\u2019s ISIS \nterror group may have been involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Trump, President of the US, says emphatically that Obama is the founder of the ISIS and Hillary Clinton its co-founder. He has reconfirmed this many times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In US political \ncircles, Teplitz is regarded as a Hillary-Clintonphile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 With the Pivot \nto Asia, the US has transferred 60 percent of its Naval Assets into the \nIndo-Pacific Ocean  and pivoting along with the US into Colombo are \nAmerica\u2019s Military Allies that include Japan, Singapore and Australia; Sri Lanka \nhas signed, in secret, Treaties with these countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 In recent times \nthe Bay of Bengal has got increasingly militarised, with the US conducting \ntrilateral and multilateral military exercises. Never before have Foreign \nmilitary forces got in such close geographical proximity to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Showing the \nChinese bogey and preying on India\u2019s concerns with China, the US military has \ninveigled itself to come within touching distance of India, a geo-political \nnon-event in years gone by. It is our considered view that the US poses a direct \nmilitary threat to India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, the US \nwill be in an enviable position if it were allowed to pivot to Colombo. It then \nhas the option of prioritizing the Enemy it would engage, China, Iran or India. \nAnd this option will remain always because they would never de-pivot from Sri \nLanka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the US map \nof Sri Lanka (2050) came out into the public domain and when the Easter bombings \ntook place our sources indicate that Delhi was concerned. Upto that time any \nfears India may have harboured, had been allayed by granting certain concessions \nlike Sampur, Colombo Port etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 But with the \nturn of events, India was concerned. To placate them, the Americans took it upon \nthemselves to virtually give Palaly Airport to India and to make it an \nInternational Airport. Yet not entirely satisfied, the Americans were compelled \nto make further concessions to the Indians, in Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All these \nconcessions however have not diminished, in any way, the dangers posed to India \nby the US Pivoting to Colombo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the \nintrinsic fault lines of India\u2019s Defence is that Indian Naval Assets have to \nmove South of Sri Lanka to meet any threats posed to its Eastern or Western \nCoastline. Between the Eastern and Western Coastline of India would now be \njuxtaposed, the Americans and the Chinese (and of course the US military allies \nlike Japan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Whether US \naligns itself with India to engage China or whether US aligns itself with China \nto balkanize India would be US\u2019s prerogative<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 A very \nsimplistic but possible scenario that the US could always script is to hold \nIndia by its nose in the East; when Indian naval units have moved East (from the \nWest) in support, the US could then rub India’s butt in the West and prevent or \nimpede movement of Naval units sailing West in support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unwittingly, \nIndia has allowed itself to be surrounded and possibly choked by a potential \nEnemy, the US, which believes that India needs to be balkanized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sri Lanka has a \ngood grasp of geopolitical reality. China, like India, has been a good friend \nand Sri Lanka sincerely believes that the two friendships are not mutually \nexclusive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Sri Lanka, like \nIndia, is a Founding member of the Non-Alignment movement and committed to \nNon-Alignment based on the principles adopted in Bandung. That has been our \nstrength and our defence too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, \nAryasinhe, the controversial Secretary of the Foreign Ministry, needs to be \nrapped on his knuckles. Sri Lanka is not a Neutral Country; it is a Non-Aligned \ncountry. It is his duty to brief his hierarchy, on the nuances of the two terms. \nIt is not a case of semantics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 In 1971, Sri \nLanka initiated a resolution at the 26th<\/sup> United Nations General \nAssembly that the Indian Ocean be declared a Zone of Peace.  The \nresolution was adopted and the Indian Ocean was designated a Peace Zone by the \nUN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this paper \nwe reject outright the MCC Compact. it is unconstitutional and destructive to \nthe Nation State of Sri Lanka<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 We propose that \nwe reaffirm our faith in the Indian Ocean being a Zone of Peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 We further \npropose that Sri Lanka be designated as the hub of the Non-Alignment \nMovement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in \nconclusion, we propose that Sri Lanka make a financial offer to the US, based on \nthe very same terms and conditions as the MCC has proposed to Sri Lanka. Our \nfocus of interest is a Corridor of 500 miles running from Jacksonville to New \nOrleans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outlining \nthe proposal in broad terms, Sri Lanka \nshall be investing 800 Million USD in the project involving Land, transportation \nand Food. Pivoting to Jacksonville with Sri Lanka, we hope, will be our friends, \nIndia, China, Iran and Cuba. The US would give us access to all their Land \nregistries and records and make all State Lands available for purchase by Sri \nLanka. The US would need to change their Constitution and Sri Lanka shall be in \ncontrol of the US \u2018land Ministry\u2019 and the US Finance Ministry (their \nequivalent). Sri Lankan Laws shall apply in all areas owned by Sri Lanka. Some \nof these conditions must be done by the US prior to Sri Lanka releasing the \nfunds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the US does \nnot have to pay us back a Cent. It is an outright gift and will not affect their \nBank balance.
