Create a fake story \u2013 the more\nbizarre the better<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Attempted\nabductions are the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Claim\nto be abducted in a white van will give added points<\/p>\n\n\n\n Have\na note written or claim threat implicating the Rajapakse\u2019s will be bonus points<\/p>\n\n\n\n Get\na phone call threat and record – it may be risky but worth it if it can reach\nthe embassy on time<\/p>\n\n\n\n If\nyou are lucky you can claim asylum inside the embassy compound but that looks a\nbit tricky now as the present Swiss affair has compounded chances of that given\nthe embarrassments the Swiss embassy is now suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A\nfew emails claiming you are threatened; your life is in danger will go a long\nway too even if it is all lies \u2013 just allow your imagination to get the better\nof you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Have\na few start some civil society group or media outlet and start attacking\nRajapakse\u2019s or the new govt and then create a scenario to have a complaint\nlodged against your actions and thereafter do a recording claiming harassment\nand threats to \u2018free media\u2019 and you are sure to get asylum. No need to say\nanything about your actions contributing to the reactions \u2013 don\u2019t worry the west\ndoesn\u2019t take that into account at all <\/p>\n\n\n\n Claim\nyou are a \u2018journalist\u2019 or belong to some form of unheard of \u2018media\u2019 and that is\nthe best way to have your name featured on foreign reports and have those\nthrown at the new govt at international forums \u2013 Congratulations – you have\nbecome a celebrity overnight. You may even consider writing a book of your \u2018ordeal\u2019\nand make that a bookseller. They\u2019ll be plenty of people to write a favourable\nreview. These are also on their payroll! So, you\u2019ve joined the gang<\/p>\n\n\n\n Make\nsure you can speak the Queen\u2019s tongue \u2013 generate an accent that is foreign to\nSri Lanka because that will certainly win bonus points and may help get you a\nspot as head of a civil society group with plenty of funding too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once\nthat NGO is set up you can do plenty of tamashas with the funds sent by western\ngovernments, book 5 star hotels for conferences or seminars, invite only your\nclosest friends who will be presented as the \u2018public\u2019 and have them make\ncomments and record this as the \u2018voice of the people\u2019 take your friends out\nserve them wine and champagne and then foot the bill to the NGO account as\nentertaining \u2018witnesses\u2019 and \u2018looking after\u2019 them to get their \u2018witness\naccounts\u2019. Don\u2019t worry the western governments will ensure pressure is exerted\ndiplomatically to ensure you continue to get up to mischief on behalf of them.
