For more than one week these doomed fellows were blaming\neach other for their disaster and were battered quisling Mangala, pseudo\nBuddhist Champika, Abduction story teller Eajitha and the alleged male\nprostitute Ranjan Ramanayake as the cause for their defeat and many insisted\nthis dirty four cabal should not be given nominations for the forthcoming General\nElection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, atiger terrorist hooligan resident in\nFrance enjoying economic asylum by betraying the Tamils of Sri Lanka has\nwritten a lengthy letter under the title\u201dAn Open Letter to President Rajapaksa\n\u201d to the treacherous UNP website Lanka E News published from London which\ncannot be accessed from Sri Lanka since the former President Sirisena banned\naccess to it from Sri Lanka following a spate of malicious and fake news items\nand reports about him and his family members posted by this mudslinging\nwebsite.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems that this terrorist ruffian has purposely posted\nthis letter knowing very well it will not meet the eyes of the President but\nthrough it he can mislead the overseas Sri Lankans and it can get the attention\nof non Sri Lankans and thereby create a nasty impression about Sri Lanka and\nits new President as it is the prime objective<\/p>\n\n\n\n

of these terrorist hooligans.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially I thought to ignore the letter but on the second\nreading I found that the allegations being made in the letter are very serious\nand this culprit should not be allowed to go scot free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This hooligan starts his letter with a Damma Pada that\nadmonishes Don\u2019t trust too much. Don\u2019t love too much. Don\u2019t hope too much.\nBecause that too much can hurt you so much\u201d and then he laments that conscience\ndoes not allow him to congratulate the new President and it is the same with\nmany of my fellow Tamils. (What moral\nrights he has to speak about the Tamils in the North and East who are being\nbamboozled for the terrorist diaspor\u2019s luxury life.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He saysthat in\nJuly 2019, he predicted Mr. Gotabhaya\u2019s victory and stated that Sarath Fonseka\nwould be the right match for Mr. Gotabaya and if Fonseka contested this\nelection, Mr. Gotabhaya would be defeated. For Sinhala Buddhist voters, it\nwould be a choice between two \u2018cardboard heroes\u2019 and Fonseka would have stood a\nbetter chance. (Your prediction and\nimagination was totally wrong and absurd since the since the first election\nresults relating to southern eletorates came from 100% Sinhala Buddhist\nAmbalangoda electorate which is the hometown of Fonseka and the results not\nonly showed a mammoth victory for Mr. Gotabhaya but also indicated that Mr.\nGotabhaya will be the ultimate winner)<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You both as \u2018cardboard heroes\u2019As usual, here too I refer to\nyou both as \u2018cardboard heroes\u2019, because if neighbouring India and the\nInternational Community hadn\u2019t supported the war efforts of Sri Lanka, by now\neither the Tamils would have achieved their external right to self-determination\nor the war would have been prolonged even until today. (Again a wild imagination by you. \nThe countries you mentioned only wanted to suspend and allow America to\nevacuate the terrorist leaders by sea safely, perhaps to fight another\nwar.  It was only becasuse of\nsophisticated arms, ammunitions, latest guns, double barrelled rockets amd MIG\nfighters supplied by China, Russia and Pakistan helped our gallant forces to\nwin and end the war).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sri Lanka, the executive presidential system was\nintroduced only in February 1978. Before that, the parliament was the supreme\nlegislative body of Sri Lanka. In the parliamentary election in May 1970, under\nthe leadership of Srimavo Bandaranayke, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party \u2013 SLFP\u2019s\ncoalition with leftist parties known as United Front \u2013 UF, won the majority of\nthe electorates, especially in the South.\n(Here too you are wrong.  In that\nelection several United Front candidates won several constituencies in the\nNorth and East and Mr. C.Kumarasruyar became a Minister of the government)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then again, in July 1977, under the leadership of J.R.\nJayewardene, the United National Party \u2013 UNP had a landslide victory in the\nSouth. Whether one liked it or not, these two parliamentary elections were won\noverwhelmingly with pure Sinhala Buddhist votes. Therefore, there is nothing\nextraordinary for you, your family, your party or your supporters to boast\nabout your victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let me come to your inauguration speech, your first\ninterview with Indian Bharat Shakti TV, your interview with Hindustan Times,\nHindu and also your press conference before the presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You blame Tamil politicians..In all those interviews, you\nwere inventing a new doctrine that \u2018development is reconciliation\u2019. In those\ninterviews, you never accepted that the Tamils including the Muslims (stop dragging Muslims to your fold to get\nyour passions fulfilled.  Muslims belong\nto a separate community existing in Sri Lanka several centuries the Tamils were\nbrought to this country as agricultural slaves by the Dutch and the British\nImperialists.  It was clearly punched to\nyour father of racism, Malaysian born Chelvanayagam when he said in the State\nCouncil in 1931 that Tamils are superior community and it should not be allowed\nthe inferior Sinhalese to rule over them. \nChelvanayagam was defenselessly gunned down by the then Minister of\nCommunications Sir Maran Markar defending the Sinhalese and saying that the\nMuslims have the highest respect for the Sinhalese and they are the majority in\nthis country and they should be vested with the total right to rule this\ncountry.  This position was upheld by all\nsubsequent genuine Muslim leaders who represented both the UNP and the Muslim\nfriendly SLFP). <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North and East have long-standing unsettled political\nissues. The way you speak, some outsiders may think that the people in the\nNorth and East are simply uneducated, jobless, suffering from poverty and other\nsocial problems. Also, you blame Tamil politicians for \u2018taking a wrong path\u2019\nsince independence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Gotabaya, the truth is that since independence, it has\nbeen Sinhala Buddhist politicians who took Tamil leaders and the people of the\nNorth and East for a ride. (There is a\nsaying that a person who couldn\u2019t dance blames the dancing floor saying that it\nis not even.  What you say is something\nlike that.  The infrastructure and other\nshortcomings in the North and East were mainly created by the arrogant Tamil\npoliticians who wanted to keep Tamils permanently trampled under their boots\nand returned the decentralised budget allocations back to the treasury unused.)<\/strong> 
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You swiftly brush the truth under the carpet, whitewash\nsuccessive Sinhala governments and underestimate the reasons, why since\nindependence in 1948, the Tamils engaged in thirty years of non-violent\nstruggle and then a further thirty years of armed struggle.(What is the non violent struggle you are talking of?  All troubles, I mean communal clashes in the\npost independent period were started by the arrogant Tamil politicians similar\nto sheep skinned wolves, in the name of staging Hartals even desecrating\nMahatma Gandhi\u2019s non-violent concept. \nWhat was wrong for the Tamil politicians to launch an utterly political\nmotivated tar campaign against the introduction of vehicle number plates\nbearing the letter Shri\u201d and under that guise to apply tar on all name boards\nin the North and East. The most horrendous crime was the planting of the Shri\u201d\nletter in Tamil with hot tar on the breasts of innocent Sinhalese women. Are\nyour politicians are barbarians.  This\nwas something similar to the tiger terrorists smashing Sinhala children in the\nAmpara\/Digawapi area on the walls and nearby trees and cut opening the bellies\nof pregnant Sinhala women.   Even such\nthings have not happened in the Uva Wellassa massacres. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please be aware that in Arab countries\nonly letters from the Arabic alphabet are used for identifications in the\nvehicles. )<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us a single country in the world where there was a\nliberation struggle or struggle in exercise of the right to self-determination\nand the political issues were resolved through \u2018development\u2019. (You talk like a frog in the Well. Haven\u2019t\nyou at least read about world history? The United Arab Emirates, U.A.E, in the\npast were seven Emirates antagonistic with each other and the Emir of Abu Dhabi\nSheikh Zayed Al Nahyan with flow of oil wealth launched a programme of\nequi-development of all the seven emirates and unified the country as United\nArab Emirates, and now they don\u2019t identify themselves as Abu Dhabi national,\nDubai national, or the national of any other emirates.  They commonly call each other as Watani\u201d\nwhich means a national of U.A.E, and the Watanis equally enjoy all government\nprivileges over and above other country nationals.  Many countries in the Middle East were tribal\nentities including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Libya and Egypt and they are now highly\ndeveloped Single nations. Even South Africa now stands a single developed\nnation after ending its apartheid policies. You seem to be like a proverbial\nprawn.  It is better you read how\nChairman Mao-Tse Tung built the great Chiba as a single great3 nation after the\nhistorical Long March and how President Vladimir Putin re-established the\nRussian Federation as a powerful nation after the former Soviet Union was\ndestroyed by the CIA Agent Michael Gorbachev.).<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You completely ignore the grievances and the history of the\nTamils, who had a Tamil Kingdom similar to Sinhala Kingdoms in the island. You\nbluntly ask us to forget the past. On the contrary, you went all the way from\nColombo to Anuradhapura to take oath at an ancient sacred Buddhist temple as\nthe seventh President of Sri Lanka. The Sinhalese King Dutugemenu, known for\ndefeating the Tamil King Eellalan, built this temple. If you want us to forget\nthe past, what led you to Anuradhapura to take oath? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Repeating a lie\neven for several hundred times cannot make it authentic. I will enlighten you\nthe the real history of this country in brief for you to shed your\nmisconceptions. During pre-Vijaya era, before 505BCE, s<\/strong>everal different\nindgenous clans lived in Sri Lanka and the main four clans were Yakshas, Nagas,\nDevaa, and Rakshas. Vijaya married Kuweni and she helped him to establish his\nrule over the clans and it led to the establishment of the Sinhala Kingdom in\nthis country.  The majority of the\npopulation then were farmers and cattle herders. They had knowledge about\nhealing arts (ayurvedic), built irrigation systems and temples. During the time\nof King Devanam Piyatissa,Emperor Ashoka\u2019s son Arahat Mahinda thero brought\nBuddhism to this country and the king and the peopleembraced Buddhism and thus\nthe country became a Buddhist nation.  As\nregards yor clim of King Elara, he was invader from South India and this bandit\nruled the Northern parts of this country from Anuradhapura and Prince\nDutugemunu of Magampura {Tissamaharama area} defeated him and unified this\ncountry as a Sinhala Buddhist nation and ruled the country from Anuradhapura. )<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You consider that Sinhala Buddhist history is very important and\nexpect the Tamils to forget our history, our hereditary land, war crimes,\natrocities, missing people and all sorts of violations committed during your\nperiod as Defence Secretary and your brother – MR as President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You say that the \u2018minority should not do anything that disturbs\nthe majority or causes suspicion\u2019. Firstly, we Tamils are a \u2018Nation\u2019, not a\nminority as you opportunists in the South interpret. You all are good in\ninventing new terminologies to suit your purposes. Your request can be\nfulfilled by the slave Tamils who are with you, but not the Tamils who\nsacrifice their lives for their political aspirations, and for truth and\njustice. (Who are these so-called\nhumanitarian Tamils you are referring to? \nAre they people like you in the outfit called Tamil diaspora who took\nadvantage of J.R,Jaywardene\/Cyril Mathewled Black July progrom and secured economic\nasylum and living luxuriously in the west with least considerations for poor\ntoiling Tamils in the North?  If you\npeople had a genuine interest for the welfare of your people you could have\nmade their lives brighter instead of investing in very much profitable high rise\nbuildings in ellawatte\/Bambalapitiya areas.)  \n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your other doctrine..<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Your other doctrine is that you cannot accept the UN Human\nRights Council resolution \u2013 UN HRC that was worked out with the earlier\ngovernment. This is the biggest joke of the century. First of all Resolution\n40\/L.1 of the UN HRC is a follow up to Resolution 19\/2, adopted in 2012 during\nyour brother MR\u2019s period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Gotabaya, I will explain to you in simple language, how UN\nmember states follow their international commitments. Take your favourite\ncountry China as an example. During your brother\u2019s Presidency, Sri Lanka took a\nhuge sum of money in a loan from China. This put Sri Lanka into bankruptcy. The\nnext government in power was compelled to deal with the problem. If your\ndoctrine is correct, that government could have told China that as the loan was\ngiven during the period of MR, it would be better to settle with them. The\nworld does not operate in this manner.(Again\nyou are exposing your ignorance and incomprehension of UN procedures and\nmonetary policies governing the countries. \nFirst let us focus attention on the UN. \nThe UNHRC resolution co-sponsored foreign and Tamil diaspora servile\nquisling Mangala Samaraweera, a fellow born as a Sinhalese unfortunately was\ndone with consent from the President of the country and without approval from\nthe Cabinet of Ministers.  The United\nStates which brought the resolution Sri Lanka for this quisling to co-sponsor\nhas left the UNHRC condemning it as a Cesspit\u201d and a useless outfit.  Any country can dissociate from a resolution\nagainst it and they not binding to be implemented by the UN.  How many resolutions even approved by the\nSecurity Council remain unimplemented by Israel?  What about the Kashmir referendum Security\nCouncil resolution? It remains ignored by India for nearly 70 years now.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As regard\ninternational loans it cannot be waived or reneged by change of\ngovernments.  What the Ranil\/TNA\ngovernment did was taking further loans from international lending institutions\non high interest rates purely for day to day consumptions and for purchase of\nsuper luxury vehicles and not investing such funds on development\nprojects.  It was a government of\nignoramus Ministers who devoid of knowledge about economic management even\npossessed by a petti kada mudalali (a man who owns a roadside boutique).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you are advised by people like Prof G.L. Peiris, there is\nnothing surprising about these new. Some think that your political party SLPP\nhas the best academic Prof G.L. Peiris at its helm. He said in your press\nconference that \u2018the Sri Lankan constitution doesn\u2019t permit\/accept any UN\nresolution\u2019. This is a laughable matter. Is the United Nations obliged to see\nthe constitution of every country before it adopts resolutions? I am sure Prof\nG.L. Peiris has not forgotten the words that he and I exchanged in one of the\nbriefings organised by the Sri Lankan mission during the 6th session of the UN\nHRC in Geneva in September 2007. (Needs\nno comment as it has already been clarified)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You said in one of the press conferences that reports were\nwritten without outsiders visiting Sri Lanka. Sorry, this is not true. Every UN\nreport on Sri Lanka was written only after UN personnel including Special\nRapporteurs and the High Commissioner for Human Rights visited the country.\nAlso before the UN publishes any report, an advance copy is given to the\ncountry concerned. (Be realistic in what\nyou say.  For instance take the so-called\nignominious Darusman\u201d report.  It had\nbeen written by Darusman, Yasmin Souka et al who never visited Sri Lanka on\nheresay accounts mainly provided ny the despicable Tamil diaspora for which you\nalso belong to and from what you have said in this letter we can comprehend how\nthe others could be.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Gotabaya, you talk about \u2018Buddhism\u2019 and its thousands of\nyears of history, etc. Before you talk about Buddha and Buddhism, shouldn\u2019t you\nknow who this great Buddha is? Without knowing the history of Buddha and\nhistory of the Tamils and language, you simply bluff because you have power. (Are you attempting in your ignorance of\nfacts to imply  that Lord Buddha was a\nTamil? He was a Prince born in Baranes\u201d in the contemporary Nepal and not in\nany part of India.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you are for your language, religion and ethnicity, so every\nTamil including Muslims  are for their\nlanguage, religion, ethnicity, as well for their political rights based on\nhuman dignity. Yet you simply say \u2018forget the past, talk\/think about the\nfuture\u2019! (Desist from dragging Muslims\nto fulfil your passions.  Just because\nMuslims speak a colloquial no of Tamil mixed with Arabic termsno one has the\nliberty to refer to them as Tamils.  This\nTamil mixup was invented by the racist Arunachakam Ponnambalam who in 1888\nintroduced the vicious concept that all those who speaks Tamil language are\nTamils.  Can you comprejhend if I tell\nyou to come and and meet me after Magrib\u201d or after Ishah\u201d, or if I say that\nJanaza\u201d or Nikah\u201d  will be held after\nJumma\u201d.  This is what we speak.  Presently Muslims in the South are studying\nin Sinhala, speak in Sinhala in their homes and even sermons in the mosques are\nheld in Sinhala.  Will that mean as per\nthe vicious concept of Arunachalam Ponnambalam that these Muslims are\nSinhalese? Shed your imaginations for mere convenience and embrace reality.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
