What\u2019s this\nthat I read, a nasty bit of news reported by Human Rights Watch<\/strong> from New York which said, Respect for fundamental human\nrights in Sri Lanka is in serious jeopardy following Gotabaya Rajapaksa\u2019s\nelection as President in November 2019, Human Rights Watch said today in its\nWorld Report 2020.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meenakshi,\ncome again.  You must be joking. Was the\nperson who wrote that piecefor the World Report 2020 <\/strong>on Sri Lanka on some\nkind of a hallucinating drug, andon a high,\nwhen the person was writing it, in Whoopee do, I am in Lala land?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If it was\nsupposed to be a joke then I didn\u2019t get it, and it was a cruel joke.  Here\u2019s what I mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1.\u00a0 If Gotabaya Rajapaksa who as Secretary of Defence led a team of armed\u00a0forces who annihilated the world’s most ruthless terrorists, the Tamil Tigers, on 19 May 2009, who hemorrhaged Sri Lanka for 30 bloody years, and gave back to their 20.5 million Sri Lanka\u2019s people their fundamental human<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0 rights\u201d, their Right-to-Life, <\/em><\/strong>which was hijacked by<\/strong> these Tamil Tiger<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 terrorists<\/em><\/strong>, being elected as President of Sri Lanka should not be an issue of terrorists<\/em><\/strong>, being elected as President of Sri Lanka should not be an issue of \u00a0concern to anyone, and most certainly not Human Rights Watch.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 After all, 6,924,255\u00a0 (52.25%) voted for him <\/strong>and you outsiders have no moral right to announce to the world that, Respect for fundamental human <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0rights in Sri Lanka is in serious\u00a0 jeopardy following Gotabaya <\/em><\/strong> Rajapaksa\u2019s election as President in November 2019,\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 Wow, Human\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rights Watch<\/strong>, hold on to your horses right there\u201d.\u00a0 Who the hell does Human<\/strong> Rights Watch<\/strong> think you are to be so pretentious and obnoxious., That\u2019s a load of Bull\u201d Meenakshi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 This Gotabaya\u2019s Classic Text book \u2018fundamental\u2019 Humanitarian Act in a <\/em><\/strong> Terrorist War<\/em><\/strong> has never been recognized and spoken of by your pretentious squeaky clean Human\u00a0 Rights Watch <\/strong>guys or any other joker-International Human Rights outfit like Amnesty International.\u00a0 That itself is proof positive that you\u00a0 guys are\u00a0 anti-Gotabaya Human Rights Humbugs.\u201d\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Was it that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as Secretary of Defence led a team of armed forces and rescued 295,873 Tamil refugees in 2009, from\u00a0 the clutches of the most ruthless terrorists in the world, the Tamil Tigers, who used them as a human shield, and were marched for 30 months like a herd\u00a0 of unwashed cattle from the west coast to the east coast under the scorching Jaffna-Killinochchi sun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Is this restoring of fundamental Human Rights\u201d<\/strong> of 295,873 Tamil \u00a0 refugees the reason why Human Rights Watch <\/strong>feels that respect\u00a0\u00a0 for fundamental human rights in Sri Lanka is in serious jeopardy \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0following Gotabaya\u2019s election as\u00a0 President in November 2019.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Sweet Mother of Jesus, these guys at Human Rights Watch <\/strong>\u00a0are up their\u00a0 rocker. What a hocus-pocus logic is that?\u00a0 Come on Meenakshi, ask your \u00a0 anti-Gotabaya colleagues to give me a break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>I don\u2019t get it Meenakshi.\u00a0 If it was meant to be a joke then your outfit were\u00a0 pulling my wrong leg.\u00a0 It is the right leg that had jingle bells, so that I could \u00a0 have had a hearty laugh Ha, Ha…Haa! in sync to the sound of the staccato\u00a0 ringing jingle bells. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tell me, Meenakshi, how is it that you all shy away from honesty and the truth when dealing about Gotabaya.\u00a0 I thought you were a bunch of pristine\u00a0Human Rights wallahs on a World Watch, but now I find that you guys at Human Rights Watch<\/strong> are a bunch of no good Humbugs. \u00a0Did you all<\/strong> \u00a0ever mention this<\/strong> amazing Classic Rescue Mission of the 295,873 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tamil refugees from the clutches of the most ruthless Terrorists in the World, the Tamill Tigers, who perfected the art of human suicide \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 bombings with a suicide body pack?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mind you 6,924,255 Sri Lankans voted for Gotabaya to be their\u00a0\u00a0 President. <\/strong>So why are you all belly aching, Meenakshi? \u00a0Human Right\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Watch <\/strong>has no moral right to challenge the will of the Sri Lankan people\u2019s\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 choice.\u00a0 That\u2019s what counts.\u00a0 And you bet, that everyone of the 6,924,255 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sri Lankans who voted for Gotabaya to be their President will tell every\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Human Rights Watch<\/strong> staffer to go jump into a Winter\u2019s icy cold lake, and \u00a0\u00a0 those in the warmer countries, to go and fly a kite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Meenakshi, Human Rights Watch <\/strong>being an almost exclusively a US- American Organization, I am not surprised that what good President\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gotabaya did in favour of fundamental Human Rights <\/strong>while being the \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Secretary of Defence will not be picked up and ignored by your               Organization\u2019s radar.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We all know who butters\u2019 your and your colleagues slices of white-bread\u00a0 for your breakfast, don\u2019t we, Meenakshi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If\u00a0 fundamental Human Rights <\/strong>is to see that people do not starve to \u00a0 death, especially in a war theatre, and sustain them by providing them \u00a0\u00a0 with food.\u00a0 That is why we have Food Banks dotted in countries to sustain\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the lives of the hungry and the poor,\u00a0 and we have quite a few Food Banks \u00a0\u00a0 in Canada\u2019s capital city, Ottawa too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 If that is indeed the case, tell me how come Human Rights Watch<\/strong> did\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 not have the courtesy, not have the honesty, not have the courage,\u00a0\u00a0 not have the gumption, not have the grace, not have the dignity to\u00a0\u00a0acknowledge loud and clearly to the world, since you act as if you are the\u00a0\u00a0 Human Rights World Police, when \u00a0Gotabaya\u2019s team prepared one million hearty breakfasts, lunches and dinners every day to feed the\u00a0 295,873 rescued Tamil Refugees<\/strong> who were used as a human shield by \u00a0 the most ruthless terrorists in the world, the Tamil Tigers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This was a Himalayan undertaking for a puny island like Sri Lanka, and\u00a0 yet Human Rights Watch<\/strong> had difficulty to recognize this Nobel Peace\u00a0Prize caliber Classic Textbook fundamental humanitarian Human \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Rights Act,<\/strong> pat Gotabaya Rajapaksa\u2019s back and say, Good show<\/em><\/strong>                  Mr. Gotabaya.  Way to go!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  How come you all didn\u2019t,  Meenakshi? \nI smell a nest of rats there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These Tamil Refugees were housed in temporary camps, and some of \u00a0Gotabaya\u2019s members of the armed forces acted as temporary cooks and\u00a0 chefs to prepare the million meals a day for the rescued Tamil Refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0These camps that housed and fed the Tamil refugees were the living\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 laboratory of the fundamental Human Rights<\/strong> you guys talk of.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hallelujah!\u00a0 Eat your hearts out Human Rights Watch. <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0Providing the fundamental Human Rights <\/strong>is a natural feature in \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Gotabaya Rajapaksa\u2019s planning and thinking for his people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How could you all ignore it.\u00a0 How could you’ll miss it, and\u00a0come up with that rubbish about him in your World Report 2020.\u00a0 What<\/em><\/strong> a\u00a0 bunch of Yahoos!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the then Defence Secretary was \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 involved in these honest fundamental Human Rights acts, <\/strong>every step \u00a0of the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0And Human Rights Watch<\/strong> says to the world that Respect for \u00a0\u00a0 fundamental human rights in SriLanka is in serious jeopardy following Gotabaya Rajapaksa\u2019s election as President in <\/strong>\u00a0 November 2019.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 What piffle! What a crock of codswallop! \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I sincerely hope that when you deal with Sri Lanka the next time, cut\u00a0 out that false disingenuous crap, and stop undermining the intelligence \u00a0of Sri Lankans.\u00a0 And show us that you all at Human Rights Watch<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0 notwithstanding who butters your slice of white-bread have the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0capacity to be sincere, to be honest, to be truthful and make an effort to\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0understand what fundamental Human Rights are all about.\u00a0 Like finding\u00a0 away to give back to 20.5 million people their right-to-life<\/strong> which had been hijacked by a terrorist group; like rescuing 295,873 Tamil refugees\u00a0from the clutches of a ruthless Tamil Terrorist group which had used\u00a0them as a human shield for 30 months; like sustaining the lives of\u00a0 295,873 refugees by preparing one million hearty breakfasts, lunches\u00a0\u00a0 and dinners without letting them starve to death. If they do fit in to\u00a0\u00a0International norms of \u2018fundamental Human Rights\u2019<\/strong> thenacknowledge them without holding back that amazing bit of news from \u00a0around the world.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Failing to be honest and not acknowledging those fundamental human\u00a0\u00a0 rights and presenting them to the world is proof positive that Human Rights<\/strong> Watch<\/strong> is an Organization of\u00a0 HUMBUGS<\/strong>.\u00a0 It is that simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I doubt that the present Sri Lanka\u2019s administration will tolerate that\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 rubbish in World Report 2020<\/em><\/strong> spewed by your Human Rights Watch <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                    <\/strong>Enough is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 My hunch is that they will not tolerate International bullies who try to\u00a0 run their business, by poking their noses into Sri Lanka\u2019s internal-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 affairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0You bet! I resent what you all said about Sri Lanka\u2019 new President \u00a0 Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who 6,924,25 (52.25%) Sri Lankans voted him in..\u00a0Human Rights Watch, you certainly got my goat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
