How\nmany in EU know that funding given by EU for the welfare of South Africa and\nSouth Africans is being spent on a witch hunt against a sovereign state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yasmin\nSooka is an employee of the European Union since 2001. She is Executive\nDirector of the Foundation for Human Rights in South Africa. EU set up this\nentity in 1996 through a cooperation agreement between the European Union &\nSouth African Government. The Foundation is funded by EU & Belgium and\nfunding also comes from Ireland CARE, UN bodies & even the American\nFoundation. EU channels a portion of its development assistance to civil\nsociety organizations in South Africa. But this money is to be spent for South\nAfrica not against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry must take this up with\nthe EU immediately & seek explanation from EU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nBoard of Foundation for Human Rights in South Africa are all South African. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nFoundation for Human Rights in South Africa website does not feature anything\nabout International Truth & Justice Project-Sri Lanka as one of its\nprojects. https:\/\/www.fhr.org.za\/index.php\/projects\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\nthe International Truth & Justice Project-Sri Lanka website under \u2018ABOUT US\u201d\nhttp:\/\/www.itjpsl.com<\/a> claims  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Truth and\nJustice Project  \u2013 Sri Lanka (ITJP) is administered by the Foundation for Human Rights<\/a> in South Africa\nunder the guidance of transitional justice expert Yasmin Sooka\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why\nis EU & international donor funding meant to be for South Africa being\nspent on a project against another country unrelated to South Africa? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is\nthe EU aware that Sooka is running a project called ITJP-SL using funding by EU\nagainst Sri Lanka? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is\nSooka utilizing the time and money paid for by EU & international donors\ntowards FfHR being spent on ITJP-SL project? She is eternally churning reports\nagainst Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shouldn\u2019t\nEU investigate? Is the EU aware that she is also taking funds from the British\nForeign Office which funded ITJP-SL 2014 report which presented 40 cases\nmajority of which were former LTTE illegal combatants seeking asylum. These\nnames must be compared with the missing\/dead list of names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She\nis also on the Advisory Council of the Sri Lanka Campaign for Peace &\nJustice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ncoterie of characters appearing against Sri Lanka under various names can be\neasily connected. ITJP-SL \/ SLCPJ \/ CPA \u2013 the names are virtually all the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nquestion posed to EU is why it is allowing or simply watching Sooka utilize\nfunding meant for South Africa against Sri Lanka using the banner of Foundation\nfor Human Rights South Africa? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sri Lanka\u2019s Foreign Ministry must take this up with EU Sri Lanka or Europe itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
