We can as living links of love
avoid the pain of hurt and strife
provide much needed soothing calm
to those bereft and left forlorn,
in places torn apart through hate
as Man's sad legacy unfolds
destruction in it's utmost norm.
This wondrous realm of freedom's choice
with which just some of us are blessed
through choice of non-aligned abode
compassioned thoughts and selfless form
must help sustain life's basic need,
the joy to live and naught impede.
What's willed inherant to all beings
yet rudely snatched beyond all means.
Come let us then unite to heal
those open wounds of conflict's shame
reach out and touch those wounded souls
that languish silently unknown
while wondering whence the healing comes.
