A Dedication To Those Who Sacrificed
(Towards a lasting peace)

They cannot be restored
recussitated or revived
those brave sons and daughters of Lanka
taken by their own sacrifice
for their sheer love of Motherland.
They can be remembered
for their monumental selflessness
as names etched in stone
with the passage of time
in this resplendent land of ours
where sky, sea and land come together
in timeless, ageless beauty
And God Given infinity
where paradise once began.
They can be brought to justice
who wreaked the wrath of Hades' hand
in wretched sightless apathy
on dedicated souls
whose wafting calm as in a breeze
now instills and silently unfolds
our inner consciousness as reality
towards perhaps a lasting peace!
