Divide…they fall,
either a family or community
a country or the world.
No difference, it's a common rule to all.
Divide… they fall!
Division is the sign of danger,
main entrance to the disaster.
If some one wishes division,
he should say "adios" and go.
But none has the right to divide a nation,
and create separation and sorrow.
Many tried to divide this nation.
So they were able to do it to some extent.
But a total division never succeeded,
nor this nation fully surrendered.
'Divide and rule' was their policy
Hence they used it in every corner
In religion, so the language,
in politics and governance,
against race and the class,
the rich and the poor,
overall and among all.
Then they divided this county into parts,
as up and down, north versus south.
Thus introduced a new religion,
plus egoist culture and never ending ambitions
comparison, jealousy and competition.
So they were able to "divide and rule"
this nation for a long period of time.
As a theory, democracy would be the best
but it entered this country,
with different face and corrupted mind.
Divided this nation, further on party politics.
First based on class, leftist or capitalist.
Then by race, region and religion.
Little by little it polluted and spoiled,
and gradually killed our national mind.
For many decades and centuries,
we stood as one nation, both in rise and fall,
with tolerance, compassion and fairness;
respect to justice and benevolence.
Where all of those good old habits were gone?
Division is the cause,
nothing but...a lost cause,
Divide…they fall.
It is universal and common to all,
whether they are kings or clowns,
No wonder, divide… they fall!
