BRAVE SON OF MOTHER LANKA YOU THOU REMAIN IN THE GOLDEN HEARTS OF OUR GREAT LAND.

While the scarlet roses faded in a row,
The golden candle light waved in a soft glow,
The foot steps in the silvery moon light,
Faded away into a doomed night.

In deafening silence our hearts remain,
when your voice silenced in death,..
A solemn prayer we offer to our Lord,
To lay you in his merciful hands.

Brave son of 'Mother Lanka' you thou remain,
In the golden hearts of our land,
We bow down solemnly to honor thy name
For the ultimate sacrifice done..

Tear in every eye when we remember thee,
With a wish to hold thy brave hands,
We honor you for this 'golden day'
We all belong together in this great land.

How could this grave hour ever fade away
With no tears in your mother's eye
Oh, broken, beaten , bleeding, Lord,
Her sorrow and pain be not so, as Thine.

Our hearts rest on Eagle's wings,
When your fragrance felt across our land,
Brave son of Mother Lanka you ever remain,
In the 'golden hearts' of our great land.
