LTTE terrorists receive heavy losses

LTTE leadership had summoned a forcible gathering of Tamil civilians in the uncleared areas of Batticaloa today, Saturday 29th of July.

This was organized to force and intimidate Tamil civilians to enlist into the LTTE's so called "self defence" training camps and intimidate Tamil parents for forcible requirement of child cadres.

Tamil civilians who refused to participate in this forcible self defence training secession fled the area and pledged for immediate assistance from the security forces.

Civilian sources confirmed that LTTE leader Banu and 100 more terrorists presence in the Thenaham area of Batticaloa, which was used as a self defence training camp .

The security forces immediately responded to the Tamil civilians grievances, and air raided the Thenaham terrorist camp with a surprise attack which is said to kill 50 cadres and injure similar numbers of terrorists. The damage caused is expected to toll in higher amounts.

The meeting was due to be held around 12.00 p.m with "Bahnu" a leading LTTE terrorist to address the people and draw a fear psychosis in their minds.

LTTE leader Bahnu is also said to be killed or seriously injured during the air raid. It was revealed that Bahnu, had planned to visit Wanni, after addressing the LTTE terrorists in the uncleared Karadiyanaru area.

Thenaham, is located North West of Karadiyanaru - Batticaloa district.
