Sri Lanka has proved to the world that LTTE can be defeated

Ratnajeewa Halpita Singapore

Sri Lanka has proved to the world that LTTE can be defeated and they are not a force that they claim to be. The Sri Lankans knew this from the beginning but it was the International community and the supporters of terrorists who were boasting of a formidable LTTE. Now that Sri Lankan Defense Forces have completely freed the east from the LTTE, it is making the LTTE and its stooges very uneasy. They have started to attack the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) and its military in various fronts. The bogus human right violation charges are one aspect of it.

Obviously the next stage of the operation is to rid the north of the LTTE and liberate the people from the murderous grip of the terrorists. This will be a very crucial stage as the government will have to face the last battle of the LTTE with its baby brigades and the suicide carders all around the island militarily. The GOSL also have to face the cowered supporters of the LTTE nationally and internationally acting in a nonmilitary campaign of large scale lies and threats aimed at our economy and political stability.

This is very apparent when Briton started influencing the GOSL not to attack Vanni and Kilinotchchi in the North of Sri Lanka. It is understood that UK is using it’s state and public machinery to influence the government on this. We have seen Norway trying their best to stop the GOSL attacking the LTTE from the start of the Eelam war IV and their unlimited support for the terrorist organization. I am sure we will be seeing many more “interested parties” in the International forum coming forward to protect the terrorists. This is purely because, if Sri Lanka manages to rid the country of the Terrorists, it is sure to become a major economic success in the region and will be less dependant on these countries. All those who are opposed to this will do everything possible to stop Sri Lanka defeating the LTTE. They would not care a damn about the suffering masses at the hands of the LTTE.

We will also see so many other individuals in the caliber of Ranil Wickramasingha, who is very much in the mindset of “we are the slaves of the whites- we need to do all what they say” will betray anything for him to come to power or lick anybody’s boot to become the president of Sri Lanka. Such “loosers” will be doing their level best to stand against this fight against terrorism. There will be many more Mangalas and Sripathis who are representing ousted politicians and jokers like Bahu and Vasu who are being paid by the western agencies who will be shouting loud to with lies and deceptions to hinder the progress of the military and the GOSL. How ever it is very evident from world history that no armed conflict has ever being won without a military battle. Lord Nelson did not discuss peace with Napoleon, Hitler was not defeated by discussions but by the brute force of the allied force. The rampaging Japenese were haltered by the nasty atom bomb at the cost of so many civilian casualties. Vietnam had to get rid of the invading US with sheer military tactics. The IRA agreed for talks after three decades because that’s how long it took for the British Intelligence to infiltrate the hierarchy of the IRA and cause destabilization of the top and insecurity within-a sheer military campaign. Those who have taken up arms have to be defeated before discussions start! It is wonderful to note that GOSL and its defense forces are very successful in their war against terror and we are quite sure that they would be achieving their target despite all the obstacles. That is the wish of all Sri Lankans.
