Liberal MPs attend Tamil terrorist memorial service

*Hon. Stephane Dion, P.C., MP*
Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada

*Mr. Michael Ignatieff, MP*
Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada

Gentlemen:
As a former card-carrying Liberal (now a staunch Conservative), this is an observation that I want to share with you.

I read in the media with disgust and apprehension that a herd of your parliamentarians – Jim Karygiannis (Scarborough-Agincourt), Maria Minna (Beaches-East York), Derek Lee (Scarborough- RougeRiver), Borys Wrzesnewskyj (Etobicoke Centre), John Cannis (Scarborough Centre), John McKay (Scarborough-Guildwood), Mark Holland (Ajax-Pickering), Yasmin Ratansi (Don Valley East), and Lui Temelkovski (Oak Ridges-Markham), showed theirs and your party’s crude and dishonest-vulgar policy of supporting Tamil Tiger terrorism and their human rights violations in Sri Lanka by attending and addressing the open air memorial service for the second-in-command of this ruthless terrorist outfit, S.P.Thamilchelvan, at the Markham Fair Ground. Thamilselvan was killed by a Sri Lankan Air Force bomb.

The cat was let out of the bag when your former Minister of Justice Irvin Cotler and a great advocate of Human Rights, admitted to the Editorial Board of the /National Post/, that the Liberal Party support for the Tamil Tigers and not to ban them were purely for domestic political reasons. How dishonest can you all be, when you openly support terrorism, thumbing your noses showing abhorrent disrespect for Canada’s stand against world terrorism, and for our brave soldiers who are trying to eliminate terrorism by putting their lives on line in Afghanistan.
That takes the cake for the Liberal’s vulgar, opportunistic dishonesty.

What is so vile about this insincere act in attending this memorial service was that the majority of the MP’s represent the Scarborough region ridings which happen to be the ‘Little Jaffna’ where you Liberals hope to harness tens of thousands of Tamil votes. I dare say that this same herd of parliamentarians would think twice before they want to show their faces at such a vigil to sing praises if ever Mullah Omar is killed by an exploding bomb dropped by his opponents, for the very reason that there aren’t enough Afghani refugees to cluster to create a ‘Little Khandahar’ in the Scarborough region. “Not worth it. Not much votes there”, they will tell you. That is how dishonest you Liberal-Snow Tigers are.

While Jim Karygiannis, Maria Minna, Derek Lee and John McKay are experienced parliamentarians who have visited Sri Lanka’s North, but also realizes how and which side their bread is buttered thus, perhaps reluctantly, support their Tamil constituents cause for separation when you Liberals under Prime Minister Chretien did everything under the sun, and turned heaven and earth to stop Quebec separating from the rest of Canada. But some like Borys Wrzesnewskyi, Mark Holland and Yasmin Ratansi are Johnnys-come-lately to this issue and made statements to win the hearts-minds-and-votes of the Tamils that had gathered. They were naïve and an embarrassment to you Liberals and to all of Canada who abhor terrorism.

The Pied Piper of this bunch of Liberal Snow-Tigers has always been Jim Karygiannis who was quick to point out that Thamilselvan was a ‘Dove of Peace’, and that he ‘always smiles’ and that he was ‘smart’.

But here is who S.P.Thamilselvan was, whose mother, two brothers and sister live in Markham having entered Canada as refugees.

Tamilselvan joined the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (aka Tamil Tigers) as a child soldier in 1984 and slipped on the Tamil Tiger fatigues with the implicit intention to kill, and he did kill innocents in droves. That initiation certainly did not make him a ‘Dove of Peace’. His initial training as a terrorist was in Indira Gandhi’s India. He established himself as a capable military man by killing his opponents and innocent civilians who had no way to defend themselves as they were fast asleep when his gang of terrorists crept into their adobe huts and shot and killed them and sometimes hacked them to death with machetes.

These gruesome acts do not make him a ‘Dove of Peace’, however much Karygiannis wants to stretch his insane platitudes to support his Tamil constituents. Thamilselvan later served as the body guard to his tribal chief, Prabhakaran, and his task was to kill anyone who threatened his bosses life. He was no ‘Dove of Peace’ although Jim Karygiannis has portrayed him to be as one.

When Thamilselvan was appointed as the area commander for the south of Jaffna peninsula (1987-1991) and later as the ‘Special Commander’ for Jaffna, his orders were to kill, and kill he did soaking the earth with Sinhalese blood. He was no ‘Dove of Peace’ and Jim Karygiannis is off his rocker lying through his teeth and elevating this killer as a peace maker. After his death he was accorded the title of ‘Brigadier’ by the Tamil Tiger leader Prabhakaran, which is not exactly a civilian honour for one who is supposed to be a ‘Dove of Peace’. He was a downright terrorist, an assassin and a killer.

He, most certainly led the Tamil Tiger contingent for peace talks abroad but only to withdraw from the talks every time quoting the preplanned slimmest reasons. When he led his Tamil Tigers for talks in June 2006, and having traveled to Oslo, Norway, they refused to talk with the Government officials to the embarrassment of the facilitators, the Norwegians. By then the Norwegians had been taken for a ride one more time. During the last visit to the Tamil Tiger Headquarters in Killinochchi by the Norwegian ambassador, it was made quite clear by Thamilselvan that the Tamil Tigers weren’t willing to talk peace.

However, the ambassador had made a clear determination that they will be attacking economic and military targets soon, which they did. So much for the ‘Dove of Peace’ that Jim Karygiannis foolishly try to portray Thamilselvan as a peacemaker. But what they certainly did was to use these visits as their best chances awarded by the Norwegians for the procurement of weapons and collect funds from the Tamil Diaspora.

Borys Wrzesnewskyj condemned the assassination of S.P.Thamnilselvan, and said Sri Lanka sunk to the lowest level and assassinating a peace negotiator has far reaching consequences for Sri Lanka. This parliamentarian is an embarrassment to you all. At least I wished he had done his homework before he started to spew out his crock of ryba wallop and a bunch of Kovbasa.

“Sri Lanka sunk to the lowest level” for having got the second-in-command of their enemy he says. Did he not know that the Tamil Tigers assassinated the President of Sri Lanka (equivalent to, may be, Prime Minister Stephen Harper); two Foreign Ministers, Ranjan Wijeratne and Lakshman Kadiragamar (equivalent to Maxime Bernier and Peter MacKay); the Minister of Industries C.V. Gunaratne (equivalent to Jim Prentice), and the Leader of the Opposition, A. Amnirthalingam (equivalent to you Stephane Dion); and three Mayors of Jaffna (equivalent to three Mayors of Quebec City). So what is your colleague Borys Wrzesnewskyj talking about and embarrassing you lot. The Government of Sri Lanka gets one leading Tamil Tiger, and Borys says that the Government of Sri Lanka has sunk to the lowest depths which will have far reaching consequences, and the Tamil Tigers assassinate 31 politicians, and I didn’t hear a whimper nor did you two from Borys Wrzesnewskyj. That itself proves positive that you Liberals are a bunch of hypocrites and opportunists.

Both of you being former University Professors, I am sure you will give every member of that herd of Liberal parliamentarians who participated at the terrorist memorial service a failing grade for their lack of quality research and not having a clear understanding of the Tamil separatist issue in Sri Lanka, and polarizing the ethnic divide of the Sri Lankan-Canadian community further, before they launched on this “we too are weeping for you all” theatrics.

Perhaps, you two may want to discuss this embarrassment at your next caucus meeting as almost every media outlet has lambasted your ignominious crop of politicians. The */Globe and Mail/* Editorial of November 7, asked, “*What were those MPs thinking?”* I would go further and ask my pertinent question, ‘*What were those MPs smoking that* *morning, anyway?*’ as the Liberal Party has now lost its innocence, honesty and dignity by attending a memorial service of a hard core terrorist who had his palms painted with layers of dripping Sinhalese blood.

All what I can say is. “Shame on you lot”, and “pox on the Liberal Snow-Tigers who attended that memorial service” for their shameless hypocrisy and double-speak just to buy the Tamil votes.
