THE GENTLEMANS' GAME HAS
BEEN ALTERED?!ICC AND WORLD SHALL BE ANSWERABLE!
Shripal Nishshanka
Part 1
Great Britain ruled the world in the olden days, even though not
golden, but influenced its' colonial countries to adopt certain governance
and also few sports. Among sports, cricket has its' unique characteristics
and features, thus gradually its' momentum gains around the globe
slowly and surely.
A natural body formation of Muththaiah Muralidaran was sparsely debated
for chucking for sometime, when the appeals were honoured by biased
umpires, which eventually got punished by the truth. When Sri Lanka
was the triumphs of the Word Cup Cricket, they were the under-dogs,
who taught Cricket to the world, by bringing a new phase to the game.
Once again the history was about to repeat last month in the Caribbean
islands, and the news surfacing shows a marvelous repetition which
had been thwarted by tricks done by Australian cricketers. Australia
is a good country now, forgetting the history. Any nation or person
can change from bad to good and that is a quality for appreciation
according to any theory of philosophy.
According to the confessions by Australian Cricket team opener, Mr.
Gilchrist, the Final result of the World Cup Cricket 2007 shall be
changed. At least the final match needed to be rescheduled if not
the whole tournament. Alas ICC!
The benefit of doubt goes to the batsman and doubt of the win makes
the loser the champ. That is how the authentic cricket shows and we
respect the some good performance done by innocent and genuine cricketers.
A high momentum extracted to the bat by enhancing the hand with a
half squash ball in the glove makes the whole competition ugly.
A vast majority of the cricket loving people in the world is dismayed
by the reveal of the trick done by Australian national cricket team.
Part 2
There is another game with politics which the Sri Lankan government
has to play now. Many countries including Australia still support
Sri Lankan terrorists for the votes they are greedy of. Most of those
politicians are in terrorists' pay roll.
There should not be any negotiations with the terrorists in whatever
the capacity and this phenomenon shall not be contradicted. The tumor
needed to be removed and the curing process shall be given its' own
healing time.
Sri Lanka should not plead for aids from the UK or anywhere under
any precondition where national safety and security subjected to be
compromised.
President Mahinda Rajapaksha, let us finish what is started. If not
for late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi and late Mr. J.R. Jayewardene we do not
have this terrorism today. It is painful to remember how the Operation
Liberation part Two alias Vadamarachchi Operation 2 was called off
as ceasefire by a crooked request by then Indian Prime Minister to
then Sri Lankan Executive President in May 1987, twenty years ago.
Mr. President Rajapaksha, will you do the needful or should somebody
else take over?
