CLAYMORE BOMB KILLS FOUR SOLDIERS AND INJURES 13 MORE IN THE NORTHERN CAPITAL OF JAFFNA

An improvised bomb fixed on a bicycle exploded targeting an Army vehicle killing four soldiers instantly and injuring 13 more in the Northern capital of Jaffna in Sri Lanka.

A military spokesman said it was the handiwork of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam( LTTE )
The sources said the incident occurred August 12 when the vehicle carrying the army soldiers passed the spot.

The city of Jaffna is under the control of the Sri Lanka military but there is a strong LTTE underground operating in the city.

The city was captured from the rebels in the year 1995.
After the rebels recent loss of the Eastern Province they have intensified their attacks in the Northern Province, the military say.
